Well idk if I could have did it 20 days post op sinc everyone feels differently. We are going to Vegas Dec 2nd. I will be 4 months post op and on regular food although I will probably eat off my husbands plate when we are there because the food is so dang expensive. And I don't drink or gamble yet Vegas is my favorite travel destination. Lol. Good luck to you!

@@Jennifer Rogers I got the GENEPRO Protein last week from Amazon (because I have trouble getting in my protein too). It's okay. I definitely cannot put it in just anything. I didn't like it in any drinks (too much flavor when it's supposed to be flavorless) and I could taste it in cottage cheese. So far, the only thing I've had it in where I couldn't taste it was I cooked it in a scrambled egg (but only 1/2 a serving).
If you find other ways to use it where you can't taste, please let me know.
Oh no I have not had that problem with Genepro at all. I cannot taste it. I don't always use a full scoop though I spread it out in different things since I can only eat a half a scrambled egg at this point a full tablespoon would be too much for that. I hope it works for you Lexie. It worked for me.

Not a yogurt fan either. Even the word yogurt is not to appealing. They should have named it something else.

My energy is slowly coming back and I will be 10 weeks post op tomorrow. It takes a while.

U am going to have to buy some now! Does it come in flavors?
No it is unflavored. But it is awesome can't taste it on anything and instead of a huge scoop the scoop is about a tablespoon.

I am hoping things turn Around for you very soon! It has to come off sooner or later. But trust me it stinks when it's not coming off as you expect it too. It's frusterating I know, sometimes this forum can get to you when you see so many others losing at a very rapid weight. But honestly we don't know the different circumstances that everyone else is in. Try not to get to down. Things will come around for you. And trust me I used to HATE it when people said that to me. But you watch and see it will work. Just hang in there. All my best to you.

There was all kinds of candy and donuts and Carmel apples at the office today. Drug reps bringing all kinds of crap. I didn't eat any. I will not eat Halloween candy either. Just not worth it to me. Good luck to everyone. It's cold and windy here in Michigan for the kids this year and it snowed earlier today. Yuck!

I had the same problem, my motto was get the first Protein Drink in as soon as I got up and get it out of the way. I was hitting the YMCA every morning at 5 and drank the Protein drink after that. I switched things up. Exercise every other day and drink a whole bottle of Water before even starting my protein and it has helped with the nauseous sick feeling I was getting from the protein drink. And I have also learned not to take my Vitamins any where near when I was going to drink my protein drink because it really made me sick to my stomach. You will find a routine what works best for you. I use GENEPRO protein bought on Amazon. It was approved by my NUT. It is fantastic! Helped to get all of my protein in plus some and I was struggling. I am 10 weeks post op on Monday and I can eat anything now but still cannot eat enough to get my protein in without Protein Drinks. But that's ok I can tolerate them now. Good luck!

Can I ask why your surgeon does not want u to have Protein Shakes? I am pretty sure I will have to have one a day for the rest of my life.

I hope everyone is doing great. I can't complain on my end. My co-workers noticed my weight loss at work today. I am losing slow. I do the ellipticals 5x a week. I have increased the intensity of the workout. I am thinking of joining a gym. Anyone started a gym yet? [/quoteThat is great! Always makes you feel good when someone notices. I have been at the gym since about a week post op at first just walking the track now I have my routine there. It's great. My surgeon actually said I wasn't eating enough to sustain my workout and said to work out every other day and get used to a routine that I can use to maintain because realistically no one is ever going to go to the gym 2 hours a day seven days a week. So I work out every other day and still losing.

I have the same thing. Sometimes I have to make sure I am holding on to something in case I really get bad. I get more Protein than required and Water too. I was like this one other time that I lost weight fast except that time I actually did pass out. I am not really too concerned with it though it is a big inconvenience. I get the occasional what's wrong with you from my husband. If it gets worse I will mention it to my surgeon t my next appt.

Best wishes! All will be fine!

I know we can't eat and drink @ the same time but does that include when we're eating our Snacks too??
I had the same question. Like mid morning I may have one thin slice of deli ham. I don't usually quit drinking 30 minutes before and after I just don't drink at the same time. It has worked for me, however I have to say that I have never been nauseous from eating. I have the restriction which is amazing. I love it.

I get it too! I would be super upset, depressed and everything else under the dang sun! It will start to come off. Have you noticed losing inches? I had to out my scale away, I actually wanted to break it so it didn't tempt me. Hang in there there is no where else to go but down eating only two bites. But believe me I get it. And sometimes you just have to vent!
