What NSV are you look foward to?

New clothes, new coats, new shoes, cute underwear. Lol. Met my goal last week and need a second job to support my shopping habits. My big goal was to wear a pair of Ms Me jeans. I now have two pair. Bought a new Malibu to celebrate. It's sporty and yes I am one of those "old people" who drive a car that's a little sporty. Now my challenge is to stop losing weight. Harder than I thought it would be! Good luck fellow sleevers on you NSV's.

    Unjury protein powder questions?

I use Unjury everyday. I use the chocolate splendor and I mix it with water and a tablespoon of Genepro and get 50 plus grams of protein in 8 ounces, I am 5 months post op and at goal now. (Just two days ago). It worked for me to get my protein in.

    Anyone have regrets?

I had regrets for about the first 3 weeks. After that things settled down and I could wrap my mind around what I had to do. I now have a new norm. It gets easier with time. Once in a great while I wish I could eat like a normal person. Every time I feel a regret I look in the mirror and That is my motivation. Or go clothes shopping it's so much fun now. I need more money to shop with.

How slow do you all eat?

I don't eat slow either. Can't stand cold food. My restriction is just as good as the day I had surgery. I can only eat 2 or so ounces of food. I am 5 months out and hit my goal weight yesterday. I have never puked up food. I did puke up a vitamin one time when I took it on an empty stomach. Other than that I don't get chest pain or anything like that when I eat. It's awesome!

    4 months out

I hit my goal yesterday. I am scared to death I won't know how to stop losing. Today I should be taking in at least 1200 calories and I have only eaten 400 and went to the YMCA to work out. You will be fine. It is just as big of an adjustment to stop losing as to start losing for me anyway. I am 5 months out tomorrow.

    Hard lump

I had that also. It disappeared after about 4 weeks.

    Really constipated.. I think...

My norm is once every 7-10 days. I am 5 months post op. I do not feel backed up either.

    3 weeks post op

I feel very fortunate that I never hit a stall. The scale steadily went down. I am 3.7 pounds from goal weight and the scale hasn't moved in about a week. I don't know how people who hit the stalls got through it. It is by the grace of God I did t get them because he knows how inpatient I can be. Thank you God!

    Popcorn my most favorite snack!

I eat popcorn on occasion. I could eat it everyday, but I cut WAY down on the butter just a tiny little but. My sleeve was August 25th. I don't have issues with foods. Just in moderation. It's worked so far. I have never had a stall since August. I know a lot of people get those stalls, but for me never. The scale has moved every single time and that makes me happy. So I am just going to continue what I am doing then try to figure out how to maintain. 16.2 pounds to go.

Please recommend an unflavored protein powder

I use both Unjury and Genepro. With Genepro you don't have to use as much and you can mix it in hot or cold.

    Light headed sometimes

I am four months post op and it happens to me all the time.

    Not Losing much weight.

I use my fitness pal also and if it cannot be measured on there. I DONT EAT IT. For example it is next to impossible to measure how many calories one French fry is and I would never eat enough to actually measure so I choose not to eat it. I don't know how to measure just a bite of a cookie so I don't eat any of that stuff. That's my own rule. And it works.

    Before and After Pics

Actually I am a bit smaller than the after pic now. My nutritionist said I should weigh between 140 and 160. In this pic I am 173. I don't think I want to go to 140. If I didn't have the extra skin I probably would be at 155. Lol. But oh well better loose skin that fat.

Unflavored Protein Powder to Sprinkle Over Food?

Genepro is the one that has 30 grams in about a tablespoon. It works great. I mix it with a regular protein shake and get about 60 grams in one protein drink. I get my protein in every day!

    Robotics?

I had the Davinci robotic surgery in Saginaw, Michigan. I work for doctors that use the Davinici for surgeries they perform so it was an easy decision for me.

    Alex

How can I change the name on my profile. I don't want to use my real name.

    Pain

The answer is no! I had a double mastectomy and a year's worth of reconstructive surgeries along with gall bladder surgery a few years ago. I never had too much of a problem with those surgeries. This one kicked my butt for 10 days then it was all uphill from there.
