    September Sleevers!

September 15th here! who hoooooo! September here we come!!
  2. This is such an awesome post. It made me feel much more relaxed about my surgery. I go on September 15th and have Dr. Garcia as well! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Jas~
  3. You look absolutly BEAUTIFUL!! How soon after your sleeve did you start working out? Congratulations again!
  4. I have no idea on your question as I haven't had my sleeve yet but just wanted to say congratulations on your weight loss so far! That's amazing and very encouraging. Most people I've read have waited at least a month or so to begin excercising so good for you for feeling up to doing it sooner!

    Gallbladder

Well last thursday I had another gallbladder attack myself. Had pain shooting up into my shoulder even. They did an ultrasound and ran lab work and they said the sludge was basically causing the same effect as a stone would but because it wasn't a stone they were not going to remove it. The ER doc recommended I meet w/ a general surgeon and have it out electively. So I emailed my cordinator for my sleeve surgery and requested to pay the $500 and have it removed in September when I have my surgery. One less thing to worry about

    Gallbladder

Did you have any sypmtoms that worried you to have it out or did you just elect to have it removed during your sleeve? I'm just curious on the whole process. Also, how do you feel? Any problems with digestion etc? I am getting sleeved in September and currently suffer some gallbladder pain and I did have it viewed via ultrasound and the tech said it was full fo sludge but no stones. It's been aching again lately so I'm curious if my doctor will see that and just remove it or if I should go ahead and elect to have it removed during surgery to save myself from the pain of an attack later on. I've heard it's common for a lot of people to have it removed after they are sleeved. Thanks!
  7. I just read your thread and it was so helpful! Thank you for posting that!! Sounds like a really incredible experience and I haven't been very nervous but if there was a tiny bit of nerves you helped calm them! Thanks for mentioning the tipping part too! I'll be sure to bring small bills =)
  8. HI Everyone, I'm new to the board here. Finally scheduled my surgery day for September 15th, with Dr. Garcia in Mexico through Ready4Achange. I had 3 friends get gastric sleeve by him and they are all doing wonderful. Just wondering if you are all willing to share your experience/story with me as well. I'm most fearful about how to train to eat after the surgery, and after care. Do they give you enough instructions to figure it out after? Also, did any of you end up having a hiatal hernia surgery as well and do they charge extra for that do you know? Thanks much! Jas~ =)
