You should be so proud!! I hope to be able to post the same! Congratulations and enjoy every moment of it
2. Ok then I'm 99% sure it's the backing up!!! Just had a scary one! As I hadn't had that before! Sorry if it's TMI but does it feel like you need to be sick and are about to be but aren't?! Was awful!!! But I guess you learn as you go being a newbie to this stuff is hard!! Haha. Thankyou
3. I'm just wondering is sliming and generally feeling a bit sick and incredibly full is from being stuck of just over eating?! Just had my second fill and only a month and a bit out so obviously kinda still trying to figure out what's going on when I feel stuff happening!! So I just wondered if anyone could explain to me the difference of the feelings of over eating and being stuck?! I appreciate everyone is different I'm just a little confused thanks!!!
4. I had my band on July 14th. And I've already failed with what my nutritionist told me. She was a brand new nutritionist (to this hospital) and I met the girl who was having the band a couple of days after me and we were told completely different things as she had the old nutritionist. I went onto solid but very soft foods in week two as I just knew in myself I'd be fine! And I have been I've got stuck once but that was my own fault and forgot and shoved in another mouthful when I was already full. Before I met the nutritionist the main bariatric nurse said they like people to move onto solids at the rate that the person feels comfortable with whether that's fast or flow! And the nutritionist said 4-5 weeks, stuff that!!!! I also find it so hard to stop at this 'comfortably satisfied point' and instead I end up so full I'm uncomfortable. It's hard to get my head around being full after eating so little and I guess that comes in time! But I'm definitely able to be probably a cup and a half-2 which annoys me. I haven't had a fill and I've only lost 6.5lbs since surgery as I gained a pound and a half at one point but I lost it again. I'm just so frustrated and feel like I'm failing and my band is failing. I had and still do have such high hopes for it. I know people lose weight at different rates but I can't help thinking I'm just not doing as well as I should be!! Although I do compare myself to the people who had similar surgery dates to me and who followed their nutritionists plan and are still on Mushies. Sorry for the rant but if anyone has any advice I'd be so great full!!! X
5. I know it sounds like a stupid question. But I'm not sure if I've been stuck or not? Could anyone please explain what it felt like to them? This whole thing is so confusing to me I don't know what I'm meant to expect haha thankyou! X
6. I was banded July 14th also! Good luck to everyone

What is this pain?

I had my surgery on the 14th so only 6 days in but I had this exact thing too. Really tight in the centre of my chest. And worse when I was eating or had eaten and occasionally when I took a deep breath? Mines completely easing and my doctor isn't worried about it as he just assured me there's a reason they say it takes two weeks to heel! And that you have to remember you've had your insides played about with and tubes down your throat everything's a bit sore and agitated. But this pain gets better and mines getting less regular and painful each day I hope this helps and good luck!!!
8.

GRE110... Found these on amazon and trying to decide on a flavor. Do you have a favorite?

I am waiting to get the call of approval, and hopefully starting my pre-op liquid diet soon. Thanks! Their all pretty good! I've got the double chocolate, chocolate mint, banana and vanilla creme and their all delicious!!! But probably the chocolate and banana are my favourites. I tried the strawberry and wouldn't recommend it! It doesn't taste of a lot which I've found with most strawberry Protein powders!! Ahhh good luck with it! These saved my life before and after op!! X
9. I may be being ridiculous here but I feel I should ask just to give myself peace of mind and everyone is so wonderful on here it helps so much! I had surgery Monday and I've already moved onto Mushies as I've literally had no issues at all. All pain is gone apart from obviously a little from the incisions when I bend and get up etc. But other than that I'm literally back to normal. I have no appetite but I'm still looking for good which I'm guessing is normal as I'm off work and bored (I know this is my main down fall I need to work on!!!) but if I do have something it's literally like 3 tea spoon fulls of yogurt or some smoothie or something. I've had one very tiny bowl of mash potato for dinner in the last two days and that's pretty much it!!!! I don't understand why I haven't lost any weight.... I'm not expecting a miracle by any means but I'm eating soooo little I thought id have lost SOMETHING in the last 5 days?! Can the weight be from swelling or anything as my tummy is still pretty swollen! Just some advice would be lovely thankyou xxxx

Bad gas pain!

Thank you so much everyone for your advice and I'm sooo happy day 4 all gas pains gone!!!! The only pain I have now is obviously a little yummy muscle pain and the actual incisions but their not causing me a problem in the slightest I feel completely back to normal the only thing is I've already moved myself onto Mushies and I've not really had a problem with anything? My doc said about 5 days to a week so I guess it's fine cant wait to start seeing results!!!! I'd love to know everyone's stats so far for a little encouragement!!!! X
11. Day 3 now and gas pains have pretty much gone which I literally couldn't be happier about as I was in AGONY the last couple of days. The odd twinge in my shoulder but thats about it really! I did weigh myself today and I've stayed exactly the same... I don't know what I thought I was going to see it's not like i'm going to have lost a stone by day 3 but I thought id see at least something as I have barely any appetite and have just been sipping on smoothies and squash but hey ho! My doc says I can try mushies on day 3 so i'm going to attempt some mash potato and gravy tonight as i'm dying for something savoury! how is everyone getting on?! x
12. I had my op on Monday afternoon and I have the worst gas pains in my left shoulder and in my stomach. Any advice at all for these?! I have an ice pack on my shoulder which only eases it a little and I've been taking wind-eaze tablets which really don't seem to be doing a lot!! Any help would be amazing! Thanks!
13. I'm so glad it well went for you! Oh really?! Good job they found it and fixed it while you were already there so two in one haha. My surgery was at half 5 so I'm an over night patient so I'm still here as it's 6am. They haven't got me walking too much yet but I've been up and down a couple of times. I'm just sore like you say, it's like a horse kicked you in the stomach haha. And I've got that dreaded gas pain in the shoulder every one said about. Was so hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones and didn't get it but never mind!!! Should be leaving by 11 I can't wait! X
