    Sad about missing food

I forgot for one meal and paid for it with pain. So I have to pay attention to the speed. Tough with guys eating at the speed of light

    Help

I am almost 6 weeks and trying not to get discouraged I eat protein, get my drinks in but have almost no energy. Trying to move but am feeling defeated with a two week stall. What should I try? I'm supposed to start solids soon but am afraid I'll gain instead of lose.
  4. Thank you I'll keep reminding myself one day at a time
  5. How do you not get discouraged? I had surgery 6/9 and I've lost 18 pounds but seem to have stalled. I'm walking, eating correctly but the scale doesn't move. What else can I do? If my energy level would increase I'm sure that would help but it is frustrating.

    June Sleevers!

Vanesa -worry about the fluids right now at least for another week. Protein will come. What I did with the crushed pills-I used sugar free chocolate pudding (1/2) put in my powder and a little milk. Put crushed pills in there-used a baby spoon and just got them down first. Then took another spoonful of pudding to counteract the flavor. My doctor had me take those but the gallbladder stuff I could wait 2 weeks due to the bitterness. I'm 3 weeks out and can now take pills one at a time so hang in there. Another protein source is if you have a Walmart I found protein/fiber drink mix with 5 grams of protein so I fill up my 16.9 oz Water, shake, add ice and sip all day. That helps a little with energy (but energy comes and goes for awhile I'm told) I also stocked up on Listerine strips so I feel fresher breath! The more I drink the better I feel

    June Sleevers!

My surgery was June 9 and I can't get in the water until July 9 I'm eating puréed foods and tried my 1st re fried beans. Ok but really heavy.tough watching everyone else eat pizza but I'll keep working on it. trying to get fluids in. Toughest part is the ip and down energy and emotions. anyone else dealing with that?

    June Sleevers!

I am 2 1/2 weeks out. Just started puréed and my first egg and ground up chicken. Not bad but hard watching everyone else eat. pain of surgery not bad. Biggest thing is low energy but I take a lot of breaks Just wish the weight would come off faster but hang in there those who are getting ready. be patient and fight for yourself

    Sad about missing food

Geneen Roth books are excellent as well "Breaking Free from emotional eating" is great as well as several others.
  10. I'm 10 days out and was just told to start 30 minutes per day cardio. I wear a fitbit and have walked up to 3800 steps a day so far. So I'll start walking more tomorrow and doing slight lifts to build up. Energy level hopefully will improve as I walk but 400 calories a day doesn't give you much energy.

    exercise - when to start?

I'm 8 days out and I've just begun to really move. I've done the walmart and grocery store thing which is great. I'm keeping track of my steps. When you need to stop you stop and rest. Little things add up. I was told everyone goes at their own rate. I walked down the street and back for the first time today. Hydrate constantly! That is what is helping me.

    Sad about missing food

I am on a protein drink liquid diet surgery was June 9 I'm having a hard time spacing bites/sips. I didn't add enough water to lentil soup so it is sitting heavy. I'll thin things out more tomorrow how do you time the bites?

    Sad about missing food

My surgery was June 9th and I'm on a liquid/protein drink diet. After reading my handbook I discovered I could eat lentil soup so I bought some, added unflavored Protein powder and it is just enough to quell my hunger pains. I bought Bariatric Foodie Protein Drink book and have been using some of those recipes as well. Tough part is pacing those 4 oz at the rate of 1 oz every 15 min. Then I have to wait another 30 min to start drinking Water again. Anyone else having that issue of pacing?
