  1. @@Tisa, I am also in the same boat. I had my surgery June 2014 and by December 2014 - February 2015, my weight stayed the same. Everything that our fellow sleevers has mentioned are correct. I changed up my eating and exercise and by the beginning of March I have lost another 12 pounds. It is starting to slow up again which is fine. I will have to continue logging my foods, making sure that I am assuming the right foods and keep up with my workout. I am staying positive. I have come to far to think any differently.

    Feeling hurt and empty

Disregard the negativity. You have a done a great job. This is a hard and long journey already and any extra stress isn't allowed. I am happy for you!!!!!! Where you are today and where you will be in the future. I am also a June Sleever and I dont allow people comments to get me down. It only gives me the extra strength to reach my goal :-)

    Need to hit my goal!

@MsBeautyB4&After.... I also had my surgery June 25th @ 314pounds and I believe I have stalled at least 8 times and I watch what I eat, drink and exercise, but no matter what... I'm losing. Not at the pace I would like, but it is definitely coming off. Keep the faith and you will see.........

    AETNA and weight gain.

I had my surgery in June 2014 but prior to being approved, I was denied by Aetna. No one told me that I had to lose weight. So being in the blind about it on my last visit/weigh in, it was documented and I received word that I was denied by the insurance company and I was under the 3 month program. My doctor had to do a peer to peer with the insurance and they overturned their decision. I truly love my doctor because he knew that this was something that I truly needed. I am going into my 7 month and everyday I am thankful to both the doctor and the insurance company

I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)

Hi My Gastric Sleeve Family. I dont take pics but my boyfriend and I decided that I should take a before after pic to show my transformation. I am 89 lbs down with 50 more to go. I am 6 months into my journey. My next pic will be a full body shot :-)

    Rejection sucks!

I can relate, but guess what? We cant depend on others to shower us with love until we love our self. Don't allow it to effect your relationship with your child. It will get better. I had my surgery in June and I weighed 314. I am now 225, pushing to get to 175. My boyfriend has been there for me, but lately as I am getting smaller, he is no longer as happy. He feels as if someone may come in and take his place. I explained to him that I did the surgery for health reasons, but if he continues to treat me the way that he has, then I'm gone and wont think twice about it. Why should I be penalize for getting smaller and feeling and looking better. The nerve of him..... We deserve to be happy so please don't allow one person to make you feel any different. Have you had the surgery yet?
  9. Everyone is different, but I was the same way. Lost slow at first but please get in your protein because once I increased the protein, I am now almost 5 months out and I am down by 83 pounds. Increase the protein and you will see a huge change.
  10. Hi Everyone. I just joined today and I am glad that I did. There is so much too learn, but I am ready to make this LIFE STYLE CHANGE.... It is important for me to be around as long as possible. I too started the pre-op liquid diet today. It hasnt been hard and I have been trying to get one Protein shake down since this morning. It has a great taste, but is too sweet for me. My surgery date is also scheduled for June 25th. I am not nervous, just anxious to start the beginning of my new life. I started this journey (3) months ago weighing 314lbs. Today I weigh 300lbs, and this liquid diet that I have to be on for two weeks should help with maybe another 5-10 pounds. I am excited just off the weight lose before the surgery. I wish you all great success and I would like to stay in touch as well to see how eveyone is doing on the pre-op diet :-)
