  3. I am 4 months post op and have no issues or problems post op Sunday it was cold so we needed to light a fire I was bent over for about 15 mins trying to get it to light, when I got a horrible pain in my upper right side under my ribs. It was so horrible it brought me out in a cold sweat and I had to lie down and wait for it to go away. I honestly think I was squashing my new stomach and it was letting me know that I can't bend over and squash it. I called my surgeons office and they said I pulled a muscle but I wasn't doing anything to pull a muscle

    Problems with protein

Cream of Wheat is a life savor-I eat it every day with Almond and Coconut milk 4 months out and I still struggle with chicken-sometimes it makes me feel awful so I do avoid it. If it is moist and with a sauce I am able to get it down eggs used to be one of my favorite foods but I keep away as they just don't go down well no matter how I cook it. Bread is similar and as much as I try I just don't like 100% whole wheat My NUT and surgeon did not allow pork until 3 months

  11. Wow three months since I had surgery seems like forever ago! I am down 46 lbs since June 2nd surgery and I feel Great! Loads of energy I had to lose 18lbs pre surgery so I started on low fat diet in April which adds up to a whopping 63lbs I look so much better than I did I don't keep a food diary because I eat the same variation of food every day- 6 small meals My saving food is Cream of Wheat, never ate it before but now it keeps me sane Since the first couple of weeks my weight loss has been slow with lots of stalls, but it is continuing 1-2 lbs each week I am almost half way there I exercise 3-4 times a week-I have a very busy job and I don't always get time out to exercise If you are considering surgery-I won't lie to you it is very hard the first few weeks and I did suffer from a form of depression, I missed having the option of eating 'normal' food. Once you get into a routine it become easier and your new diet becomes 'normal' I can't eat meat it sticks and I don't like the feeling so I do eat moist food rather than dry-minced Turkey in dishes that I would have put minced beef. I love the new Me! and I can't wait to Celebrate getting into wonderland! Although it may be November or December before I get the 17 lbs off

    Favorite Vitamins

My NUT recommends Bariatric Advantage too but the Vitamins make me nauseous so recently bought some gummy vitamins and they will have to do until I go see her soon! Ran out of Iron but I enjoyed that so will buy some more from the Dr's next week when I go for my 3 month follow up-My labs look good so it should be ok for a week

    Went to the Fair!

I went to the fair this weekend and I was a little nervous about going and walking around near all that fair food!!! My family were talking about all the food they were going to try and I have to be honest none of it appealed to me at all I decided to have a chicken kebob and throw away the pita bread, it was the worst kebob I had ever eaten in my life and the meat stuck in my gullet! So I ate the tomatoes and the onions, then gave it to my husband to finish-he threw it away it was awful It took me a couple of hours to digest the small amount of chicken I did eat yuck In the afternoon I took out a Protein bar and enjoyed it-no more fair food for me I drank a lemonade without the sugar-very refreshing I did have a very small bite of chocolate covered bacon-didnt rock my boat either So all in all I behaved myself at the fair!!! PS My 3 month birthday today of my Sleeve
  15. I am losing slowly, but losing and not gaining! I have had numerous stalls and some weeks my weight loss is nothing I am almost 3 months in, don't get me wrong I am super pleased with what I have lost My question is I still have 75-80 lbs to lose if you lost slowly how long did it take you? Does it continue to come off? I am so worried that I won't loose 100% of my weight and will be one of the Sleeve pts who only make it to 50-60% I hear that your appetite comes back, was this your experience? I no longer want to eat chips or chocolate, will an urge for these things return?
  16. I lost 18lbs pre op-I have lost 41 lbs since surgery so still good

When Do I Get My Energy Back?!?!?!

You don't really notice at first that you have more energy, you just suddenly realize. For me it was around 8 weeks, I still have days when I feel exhausted but those are less and less. Exercise is a killer but it does get easier too
