  1. Sounds like the swelling has gone down Fanny. You probably still need to get a little taken out though.
  2. Sounds awful for you. What about protein shakes?
  3. It has been a while. How's the weight loss going?
  4. Hey Linda sounds like a great challenge, it's a shame my body is convulsing in protest at the thought of it!! :moon: :crying: I don't even run for a bus so not sure about a 5K run! :Banane37: I'll try running a block on my next walk and if I make it home, then I'm in!! :sleep2:
  5. Congratulations Robin that is awesome.
  6. Okay Linda, you're on! I lost 1 lb of the 3 lbs I put back on. I didn't go for a walk today but will be tomorrow. I think I should have gone for the fill on the 20th but it's too late now, so I have to do my best to stick with it until the 3rd. Good luck and we'll touch base in a couple of days.
  7. That's for sure Linda. I'm not going to let myself put any more of the weight back on so I'm going to stick with the plan this week. I will make sure that I get the exercise in every day as well. Don't I know it! I think that I've been feeling a bit demotivated which is when eating the wrong things is the easiest to do. I'm going to work hard at sticking with the plan and hopefully that will get me back on track.
  8. Well I'm back to eating and I too have put on a couple of lbs. It's not much considering but it is a gain, not a loss! I rang to book another fill and was given the option of 20 August or 3 September. I took 20 August first then called back and asked for 3 September. Now I'm regretting it because I'm noticing I can eat more than I should. I discovered on the weekend that I have no problem eating potato crisps and chocolate!! I can eat bread but it seems to be get stuck so I thought maybe I have some restriction but need to watch what I eat. Anyway, good luck with your fill, let us know how you go.
  9. Good on you Bandchick, 2 great achievements at one time... definitely something to be proud of!
  10. Glad to hear it worked and I agree that you don't want to go through that again, I know I don't. Rice balls were the killer for me!!
  11. That's great news Kendra! You sound like you are on top of it and I hope the PET scan shows even better results. Bandpal has a new toy I think.)
  12. I didn't realise you meant you had something stuck. I thought you were feeling sick in the stomach. I don't often get stuck but when I do, I usually drink apple juice and it does work wonders.
  13. No worries. It might take a little while but it will help. Let me know how you go.
  14. Try drinking peppermint tea, that usually helps sooth the stomach. Gaviscon or Mylanta can help get rid of the gas as well.
  15. What he said ! Drop by when you feel up to it, you might surprise yourself and continue losing the weight. Please continue to PM me for support whenever you need to because to me band or no band we are still in this together!! Take care.
  16. I'm still here of course. Great idea to see how everyone's going.
  17. You guys are funny! I went for my first fill today and the dr put in 4cc but I couldn't drink Water, it took a long time to go down so he took 2cc out so now I have 2ccs. I'm not sure how restricted I am because I had a Protein shake for lunch and some mashed food for dinner. All seems okay though. I will wait a couple of weeks and then call for another appointment. I'm hoping it's going to take less fill this time to get me to my sweet spot. I will also be starting on some solids in the next couple of days so I'll see how I go with that.
  18. I didn't have to do a pre-op diet and I ate non stop because of my anxiety about the op... it was my first op ever so I was terrified at the thought of dying or something. I think it depends on how big you are and blood results as to whether you need to do one. For your own peace of mind spend the next two days on liquids. Good luck with your surgery. And good luck to all the August bandsters.
  19. That's true in the USA Wasa but not so much in Australia.
  20. Hope all goes well with your surgery today Shortgal, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. :cool2:
  21. I'm glad it tickled your fancy Cindy.
  22. What a great looking bunch of people. I think I am due to put some new after shots up.
  23. Glad to hear that you are feeling better Cindy. I'm sure you'll be fine with the weight, especially if you try to do some exercise, that will help maintain it.
  24. Qaterphil is definitely a nymph, not sure about the other 2.
