vsg_meredith got a reaction from hopeful one in Have you tried the Carb Cycling diet and has it worked for you ?
I have had a very slow weight loss and I decided to read the book Carb Cycling by Chris Powell and skimmed through The fast Metabolism diet by Halyie Pomroy bc I have heard some success stories . At this point I'm willing to try just about anything to get my weight loss restarted , I feel that most of my almost 8 weeks have been a stall ( which they have ) I will go 3 weeks then lose 3/4 lbs then repeat the cycle . Anyways with that being said I started doing the carb cycling 3 days ago and I broke my stall & have lost 2 lbs since . My question is has anyone done it long term and how is it working for you and how did you adjust it to fit with your life due to WLS ? Thanks in Advance ????

vsg_meredith got a reaction from LookatmeNow34 in Vsg 4 weeks out and struggling
Hi , I will be 4 weeks out from VSG surgery on wed , I didn't realize how emotional this would be . I don't know if anything could have prepared me for it . All the ups and downs . I thought my ups and downs would be better supported by " support system " boy was I wrong ... Anyways back to what I am writing about . I am struggling with my slow loss , stalls and regains ... I have had more than one of both . To date because of my regains I have only kept off 14 lbs I would have been down 22 and that sounds so much better !!! I stay under 800 calories and always get my Protein in , so that's why I am so confused . Once I started purée I noticed I was much more hungry than I was while on clear and full liquids . That confuses me as well . I want to be successful at this so much that it hurts , any advise would be greatly appreciated !

vsg_meredith reacted to JeanZ_RN in How do i break through a stall?!
Here's something I copied from ButterTheBean (a veteran sleever): If your weight loss has stalled, read THIS.
I was stalled for 6 weeks - Feb 1st to mid March - and what broke it was the "change it up" plan. I had been eating very low carb, but I had gradually increased to having a Quest Protein bar for most of my meals, and I wasn't exercising because I hate it. So I relaxed on the carb restriction for a week or so, then went back to very low carb with max of 1 Protein Bar per day, and I increased the amount I was walking. That finally did it.
    Best wishes!
