i month post op today... i've lost 38 pounds total and 16 of them have been since surgery. iit's going a bit slower than i expected but i'm still very pleased with my results thus far!!!!!!

Having a bad day. Did something stupid, I permed my hair. Lots of breakage on top. Now I have cut my hair very short but worried if do that the top of my head would look bald. Don't know what to do. — feeling depressed.

I cannot wait for Zumba tonight. Shaking my ass seems like a good idea.

i think i just over did it by running the sweeper

still trying to wrap my head around gastric bypass and not the sleeve....so much to learn and be aware of before i decide

Pneumonia is keeping me down. At least I had a week of 20,000+ steps a day before a week of sick!

still filling out paperwork for the surgeon....they want to know how much i weighed when i was 10...really, 10? i know i was fat then because that is when i was put on my first diet....but i have no clue how much i weighed!

So I haven't been on here in awhile but I am happy to give you all an update. Since surgery I am down 35 lbs. I feel so good and full of energy. I go to the gym Monday-Friday for about an hour and a half sometimes 2 hours if I feel good. The elliptical is my best friend...Lol.. overall I feel good and love working out and seeing changes in my clothing size. I started back to work last week and it's been good. I was a little tired in the beginning but I've picked up my momentum. Overall doing well and I love my sleeve

today is my 1 week post-op mark.... i can't believe i've already made it this far. Last night i tried some cottage cheese and it was tough but i don't think i chewed it enough, today i did really well with greek yogurt and i'm able to explore with my purees now. Any tasty ideas that work well for others during the puree stage, please share and i'll do my best to try all the suggestions

hey everyone! just wanted to let ya'll know that i'm home from my sleeve, resting...gettiing my fluids in and am about to unjury chicken soup protein. My doc said over the next few days just to try and focus on water because dehydration during this time period is likely to occur and he doesn't want me bloated on protein and not taking in water. Boiy, my experience was different than i thought. I woke up from surgery with a great deal of pain on my lieft side but as soon as i told my nurse it was controlled. The doctor said my case was difficult because my liver didn't shrink as much as expected leaving him not much room to get around in my belly. I did have a drain placed to help rid excess fluid out my abdomen, which was removed this morning before i came home... I made it home in time to go to my sons football game and i was ok there. I'm feeling just tired and a little weak but everyday is getting better and hopefully will continue to..... talk to everyone soon!

got my call... hospital at 7:45 am for surgery tomorrow,... yay. please pray that everything goes as planned!

there are some seriously passive aggressive people posting on some of these boards....seriously, grow the hell up and if you can't say anything nice (kind, helpful, encouraging, etc.) don't say anything at all!

day 4 of pre-op liquids, feeling good. Not really hungry but i've tried to stay away from food and the sight of food because my head hunger is trying to mess with me. Three more days then one day all clear liquids and it's all over

having really bad cramping in my leg.... any suggestions?

well, i called the insurance company, told them what center i want to use and they are sending out my paperwork...still trying to wrap my head around all of this...there is so much information and only so many hours in a day!

Got my certification for Bariatric's support leadership in the mail today! Yup! True..lol

I just want to cook all the time!!
