    Labor day Challenge

CW 239 .... Thanks again! I hope to just keep plugging along. Sometimes slow and steady wins the race.
  7. Hello All, I was sleeved on June 23. I think I am at the beginning of my stall. After surgery it was so hard to even get a bottle of Water in a day, I was so scared thinking I will never be able to get it all in. I still struggle getting my water intake in. I have to make a conscious effort to drink my water. I started my soft foods about 5 days ago and I am able to get my Protein in. I have been drinking a shake in the morning using the Isopure banana creme powder. It has 25 grams of protein in each scoop. I also have greek yogurt and I have some deli meat and cheese for lunch. dinner is a lot harder since I am not usually hungry when I get home from work. I had a great exercise program prior to surgery now I am struggling to have the same amount of energy to put forth the 45 min workout. I am only losing like .1 every 2 days. Not sure what else I can do with getting my protein in exercising everyday and drinking my fluids. I get frustrated but it seems everyone goes through it. Heres to getting back on the losing train!! Trust me I am grateful for the surgery I just sometimes have regrets when I don't see results!

    June sleevers, check-in!

HW 319 SW 256 CW 241 Surgery date 6/23 At first I had a rough 1 1/2 weeks a lot of pain and I couldn't get my liquids and shakes in so felt extremely weak all the time. Went back to work this last Monday and as of today things are getting a lot better. The first week I kept asking myself what the hell did I do. But I since I started the soft mushy food stage things are getting better. Almost no pain...here and there when I twist wrong, but I'm back to my workout regimen and starting to run again. The outlook is great and the fact that I don't feel hungry every min and stress over what am I going to eat next has been a gift. But I agree there is a detox stage that everyone needs to go through. It didn't help that I also had my gallbladder out at the same time!
  10. I am finally home. I had to spend a few days in the hospital. For whatever reason I had some major problems in surgery with my heart rate and blood pressure. The next day my body did not respond well to the heavy duty pain meds. After I was checked for leaks and was able to drink my pain meds, I felt 100% better. It is now day 3 after surgery and I feel great. Mild discomfort, all I can say is...walk, walk, walk. It helps with nausea and gas pains. The day after I thought to myself what the heck did I do to myself, and was regretting every min, until I started feeling better, and started to get excited on how all the changes in my life will be. I can't wait to be on the losers bench and get to onederland!! Thank you all for the positive vibes and good luck to anyone having their surgery here in the near future.
  11. I feel the same way. I thought at the beginning of this 2 week pre-op diet the day would never come. Now my surgery day is tomorrow too. I am getting very nervous and I have had my battles over the last 2 weeks, but for the most part it was easier than I though it would be. I will be thinking about everyone that is having their surgery this week. It so nice to know that this forum exists to be able to read and have support. Good Luck to everyone tomorrow!

    Any 2014 June Sleevers

1st day of liquid diet down!! It wasn't as bad as I thought...Thursday will be the hardest since we are having a huge potluck at work. The only problems I had yesterday with the liquid diet are these dang headaches...do they go away?? Good luck jenny!!
  13. Thanks...I also have to drink 4 a day for the pre-op.....starts tomorrow! I'm going to mix it up a bit over the next two weeks and include the bariatric advantage. But I know I don't care for it. I ordered a sample pack from unjury to try it out since so many say how good it is.
  14. I'm June 23rd. Start the liquid diet tomorrow! So nervous and excited at the same time. Having my gallbladder out all at the same time. I've been watching you tube videos and reading a ton. I've lost 50lbs on my 6 month supervised diet so I feel I am ready, but there is always that doubt I'm gonna mess up. Guess it comes from my past of always needing to be perfect. Hope I can continue to be motivated after surgery to keep the weight loss going. Is anybody required to drink the bariatric advantage protein? During pre-op? I like the pure protein from Costco. How is that any different?
