Just turned 50 and after struggling over the past 8 years with my weight, I finally decided, and after trying every diet and plan out there, I finally decided to resort to bariatric surgery. I will have the gastric sleeve procedure on August 27.
It has been a week and a half since surgery and I have lost only about 8 pounds. From what I have seen and heard from others about their weight loss, this doesn't seem like the norm. What am I doing wrong?
I'd rather lose the 8 lbs than gain 8 pounds....lose the word "only" when it comes to losing weight because "only" minimizes your awesome accomplishment.
