Have you called any other nearby facilities and asked how quickly they'd get you in? Maybe someone would get you in right away to get you set up as a new patient, then submit your paperwork and hopefully have you in for surgery by the end of next month instead of March or April. If their auths only takes 2 weeks for approvals it's possible. =)
-
If they can't find time to fit you in, call your insurance company and ask if your authorization can be amended to a different surgeon/surgery group, if it can't then the new one you choose will have to submit for a new auth, but they should still be able to use all the same letters etc as before.

@@bellabill I've never seen banana extract but I'm sure they have it, I did see some banana stevia flavor drops on Amazon though.

Good luck! I'll be sending positive thoughts your way!!

I only have one dog, but he weighs over 100 lbs and thinks he's a big baby lapdog. But he's pretty intuitive and usually is really gentle when he knows I'm not feeling well. Maybe yours will be sensitive to it. I would definitely keep them off at least until it was scabbed over pretty good and maybe longer, I'd ask my surgeon in the preop visit =)

I would possibly be interested, mostly because I've gotten to know the website and trust the bariatricpal brand I'd guess you'd say. I'd trust purchasing from a store connected to a website I know, over an online store that I have no clue about.

I think sometimes the NUTs do that to scare people out of the surgery. I know of one that would tell people that she wished they had come to her for private treatment so that they could have avoided surgery, instead of through the weightloss program. Backhanded patient poaching.

@@trulyamazingtoo some vloggers on youtube strip down and show the loose skin. It's not pretty, but neither is being morbidly obese, at least the skin is easily hidden behind clothes. =)

@Foreverblessedx3 After having 7+ months to prepare now, my anxieties have eased up a lot. I think I was mostly really nervous about it and looking for feedback about it because I had 2 heart ablations in the past where I pretty much couldn't do anything for about a week after each one because I could barely walk from them going through my groins. But I'm glad to hear so many good experiences! The thought of recovery after a surgery can be intimidating lol =)

@xmaleengyx Hopefully as it gets closer your anxiety will ease up, taking control of your health is so much more important. You will still be able to enjoy the bachelorette parties and make memories if you do not drink. You can even volunteer to be a designated driver if one is needed, otherwise you'll be the person with the steadiest pics and who will have the clearest memory to be able to poke at other later. Focus on the positive! The memories are more about being together and having a good time with your closest people than getting sloshed together. I have no clue what or how much people drank at my bachelorette party, I don't even think about that part, I've never thought about the drinking once, I just remember we had fun and getting drunk wasn't the catalyst to the fun. Becoming a healthier and better you is what is most important. =) You have plenty of life left to live, it'll be a blink of an eye and you'll be able to do the things you enjoy again.

@Kabby_Chick yay, congrats!!

The short one is the "under the cabinet" version. I suggest no matter what model you end up with, just make sure to get the variable speed models. =)

@@purrfctangel Oh gosh! Yeah, I've still only told about 10 people and my surgery is next month. LOL I did tell one of my friends that I was taking a taxi to the surgery and she was like NO YOU AREN'T and now she's taking off of work and driving over an hour to get here and taking me. lol!! Sometimes 1 good friend is worth trading all your family for. I'm not so scared of doing recovery alone now though, a little anxiety but not too bad. =D I'm just ready for it to get here!

@@Jana64 I was saying that earlier! They are lucky I hadn't already started the liquid bc it's 2 weeks. lol I think it was an honest mistake, but if it happens again I'm gonna go into Babzilla mode I think bc it took it out of me today!
@@BeautifullyCreated1982 the first one is Jan 21-Feb 11th per the farmers almanac

@purrfctangel It's just me and my dog! =D They have I think it is a 5 year warranty, maybe longer, I forget now. And you could always return it if you aren't that impressed. But trust me... you will be! If you plan on using it for actual food prep and not just smoothies, it will rock your world. I have the big 64oz container and the 32 oz so having that versatility for big and small jobs is great. I had thought about getting the dry grains container too, but never did.

My insurance says in their handbook that they do not cover any kind of weight loss surgery, when you call them they say they do not cover weight loss surgery and even tried to talk me out of it, however the hospital where mine is being done was able to get preapproval based on if medical necessity could be proven and I met all the criteria then I would be eligible for it. So I did their 6 month diet, and had my dr sign a letter stating medical necessity and they approved it. They may have a similar "hidden" clause.

I mean I already made a countdown ticker and everything... heh!!

@Jana64 Thanks!! I'm super annoyed... I'm trying to stay positive. But I have been making plans for 3 weeks since I got the first date! I'm thinking like ... really y'all? Get it together! LOL
-
My surgeon's office called and told me I needed to reschedule because they had a "scheduling conflict"... so now my new date is Feb 16th. I'm a bit disappointed and a lot annoyed I have to ask other people to change their plans for me if they can... but on the bright side I won't be getting surgery in the middle of Mercury Retrograde now (a bit of astrology humor).
Can we talk blenders?
