September 10 sleeves
I've been in a lot of pain since leaving the hospital but today it has lessened somewhat. It was not as hard to get out of bed. Took a dose of liquid tylenol, a shower, took a longer morning walk. Working on a Protein shake. I think I am turning the corner... How about everyone else? How is your pain level? Do yall want to set up Sept 10 thread under post surgery?

Amazed at some day one or two post op recovery stories
I am 3 days out and my pain is pretty debilitating at this point. Struggling with fluid intake and taking a few short walks a day. Cried tonight, wondering WTH I did to myself. But hopefully pain will lessen soon. So looking forward to being able to get up and down without grimacing or yelping when I twist my torso. Come on body, heal!

What pain med can i take?
Can the nerve issue be addressed once you have this surgery behind you? I too have had several foot surgeries for a congenital issue. I know how it hurts. God bless you. I hope you are able to be helped soon.

What pain med can i take?
I too relied on advil previously. My doc says it will be tylenol from now on. I am 4 days out. I am taking liquid tylenol during the day, which only helps a little. I take liquid hydrocodone before bed. I am told the pain will diminish soon. Hoping to not need any meds much longer.

Sourhern Cooking
I live in the south. We live on tex mex and southern comfort food. I was and still am willing to give it all up to be healthy. I was sleeved on Wed. But I am curious. Will I ever be able to eat a small taco or a chicken wing again ever?

Post op
I was sleeved Wed. Sent home Friday. Struggling to get my required liquids in. The pain is getting worse. Maybe it does before it gets better. Hoping to turn my corner soon. God bless.

Pain
Later this morning will be 36 hours since surgery. As long as I am still, it's an ache. Whole I walk, it hurts but nothing I can't tolerate. When I get up from a chair or bed, it really hurts. How long until that bad pain subsides?

Not having support from partner
I think it's time for a calm, honest discussion if you have not had one on this. You need to express that these comments are hurtful and not healthy for your relationship. If she refuses to support you, you may need to take stock and see if this relationship is in your best interest. Hard to do, I know. But this is a brave step you are taking, worthy of support, not criticism. If she does not believe what the professionals say, she could attend a support group with you and ask questions herself. I wish you the best. This is not an easy choice. We need positive support, not people who will cause us to be filled with doubt and fear. That's not love.

Leaving the hospital shortly. Have had excellent care. All of the staff are wonderful. Still seems like I am in dream. Only real pain is when I get up or twist my torso. Rest is fine. My surgeon has been by every day and twice today. Will be glad when the pain is subsided. I have no desire for foid. No more doubts. I know this was the right step for me. Rest well, everyone!

September 10 sleeves
Surgery was late due to an emergency appendectomy. Got out of pacu at 1. Last morphine was 2:50. Have had 3 laps around the floor, waiting to do my last one. Then a dose of morphine and bed. Very sore in pacu. Getting more sore again now but not unbearable. Looking forward to sleep. All in all, not half bad at all for such surgery. Staff has been awesome. Sleep well, everyone. Prayers for you.

Took my shower with that special soap. Guess what... No hot water! Oh well, I was so tired I didn't care. Taxi is picking me up at 5. Surgery supposedly at 7:30. I sure hope this is the right thing to do. Just too tired to be psyched. Looking forward to those Don't Give A Crap meds though! God bless you all and check in when you can! Sweet dreams!

Waiting for 9/10
At the end of this 2 week liquid diet. Had an argument with my husband last night and I drove off in a thunderstorm. (We hardly ever fight.) Just feel so irritable and tired. Have felt very optimistic through all the steps up to this but I think this diet and anxiety are getting to me. Sorry to be such a debbie downer. I should be excited, right?

Not losing weight on PreOp diet
I don't think I have lost any either but have no scales. I cheated once while on my 2 week liquid diet. I am so sedentary though. I feel lousy. My body feels weak and I'm getting irritable. But just have to wait for Wed am. Hopefully it will all be worth it.

Plastic Surgery?
I hope mine does but am not optimistic. My doctor said very few do. His nurse had gastric bypass 4 years ago. She had plastic surgery for her breasts, tummy, and rear but not legs, neck, or face. She said hers was 38k, no insurance. But she is glad she did it. There's no possible way I could ever spend that. I've seen ads for face/neck lifts for about 15k.
