Yo!!! A week from today is our big day!!! I am 2 weeks into my 3 week pre-op diet and am down around 12 pounds!!! Picked up some supplies for after the surgery so I am ready to go on the road to recovery. Gas-x strips, chewable multi and calcium. Have food all prepped too. I am still waiting to hear if I am going to get my protein shakes from http://www.insurenutrition.com/ . I hope I do. Not nervous at all and ready to start this new chapter of my life. I think this Sunday will be tough on me, because we are having a huge bbq/baby shower for my expecting wife (Due November). there will be a ton of food. I think I will stick to a bunless turkey burger.

Anyway, good luck to you all. lets keep eachother updated and also create a new thread in the post-op forum for recovery stuff. cheers.

That's a great idea creating a new thread in post op. I'm so tried of these shakes. So much want some nachos. Love spicy food oh made with al pastor (spicy pork). I can't have any veggies 3 days before surgery. Glad mine is 7:30 in the morning.

Hi! I know! One week! :-/ This liquid diet is the pits but my body seems to be getting used to it. I just want this over with! Let's get this show on the road! Let's keep in touch pre and post! My surgery is in San Antonio. I am 56.

Oh... And only 4 more work days!

Yes for more work day yeah. I've lost 10 pounds in one week. Im so ready to be on the other side. I'm 59 having surgery in Reno NV.

Wow! I don't have a scale so will see when I get to the hospital. Too bad I can't just stick to this diet and lose 100+ pounds! But alas, I don't have it in me. So surgery it is!

I feel you on that one. Big time. .

5 days, 10 hours, 47 mins. Argh!

What time is your surgery. Mine is at 7:30 have to be at hospital at 6am. It's getting closer. Signed up at hospital after work yesterday. Blood work ekg and xray. Nervous and excited.

Well, they called and want me to pay my hospital portion on Monday by credit card. Guess it's so they can cancel if I can't pay! I hope this is all worth it... Money is so tight! I have to be at Admitting Wed at 5:30am. Since I'm alone, I'm taking a taxi. They better not be late! :)

I need to be at the hospital at 5am. The time is almost here!!! I am excited. Feeling optimistic that I will heal just fine and start kicking some weight loss ass!!!

I have't weighed since on the pre-op but I feel a difference in my mobility already....

I thought I had to be at hospital early both of you beat me. Then 6am is good. Jcp Sorry you have to take a taxi. I'm almost the same. My grandson lives with me but he can't drive my car it's manual transmission. So I'm have to figure out with a friend (her car needs a tire) to get me to hospital which is not fair from where I live. Otherwise taxi for me. Good luck to all of us on September 10.
