    Activity Tracker/MyFitnessPal

@mrs On the app, tap on Goals in the menu and there is a Nutrition Goals section where you can change everything. Can't remember where to do this on the website, but it will be a similar process. Thank you so much!! I don't know why i never thought to look under goals DUH!!

    Activity Tracker/MyFitnessPal

I have been using My Fitness Pal for years....right now (and I am not even two weeks out of surgery) I am just using it to chart what I eat so I can basically look at the nutrition to check my Protein. I like being able to scan labels and makes my life easier. I couldn't find a place to adjust the numbers they suggest I have tried!

    Give up

Mine was March 18th and I have been there....two days ago I had major regret and what have I done issues. I think for me I am such an active mom/teacher etc...it's the being home alone all day (well during the day when my kids are at school) bored that's been messing with me! I would sit and be hungry but I think out of boredom since my stomach isn't really hungry! I go back to work Monday and I am hoping that helps...even though I only work 3 days a week I think being able to get out of the house and get back into routine is going to help. I hope it gets better for you!!!!

    Mar 18th surgery

Glad you are doing well! Mine was March 18th too! ONE WEEK SURGERVERSARY!! I am doing well started the pureed diet yesterday and doing great so far!! Drove my daughter to school today too!
  6. I am only one week out and haven't returned back to work but I am a preschool teacher (so in the classroom) I keep a Water bottle available to sip whenever I can get back to my desk while playing. I take it outside too. I guess i am fortunate my kids eat snack so during the liver shrink diet I would just eat a yogurt while they ate snack then pack a small lunch. I plan on drinking a Protein shake in the car while driving my kids to school and on my way to work. I am dreading Easter parties and teacher appreciation week (which of course is the week I get back) I will have to bring home all the goodies to my kids.

    Churning stomach

I am with you!! I am a week out and have really done wonderful! Nurses at the hospital were so shocked how great I was doing and even now no nausea no vomiting did great starting full liquids and pureed foods.....my only downfall is the damn gas/bloating! It started at the hospital and hasn't stopped...it's so annoying and so hard to get comfortable (I can only sleep on my back) I pray it goes away soon for all of us!!!!
  8. Congrats!! I am less than a week out and your pics are very inspirational! Keep up the hard work!!

    Gastric bypass rny

I actually had a BM on day 2 so they wanted me to try to protein shake and yogurt before I left I have since had 4 oz of a protein shake this morning and everything has been fine! You will be fine
  11. Had my surgery March 18th! Everything went smooth, I met all my goals in the hospital, no major pain just discomfort..I should have known it was too good to be true....the nurses had me off everything and ready for discharge at 7:15 yesterday morning since I was doing so great (even had my bowel movement already) We were all packed, dressed and ready to go and then just sat and waited...and waited! The surgeon booked 6 surgeries yesterday and was running late so went straight to the Operating room and didn't release us two patients waiting to go home until almost 5 pm! Very frustrating but I am home now! Figured out I have to sleep on my back not my sides like usual I still have some fluids in me (still swollen) but I am down 15 lbs. from the day I started the liver shrink diet until now!!! I am going to stick with the official weigh/take measurements every Sat morning but I am sure I will cheat and weigh myself more during the week especially this week with the fluids all coming off!

    March surgery????

Congrats! I had mine 3 days ago and you will do great!
  15. My surgery is 5 days away and I am very excited but also nervous. I feel like I have so much info from the initial classes, meetings, appointments, and pre-op counseling. I have been trying to re-read all my literature (it's a huge folder of papers now) but I honestly feel like I am going to forget something or do something wrong. I have tried to buy everything I will need after surgery...products, meds, and foods. I have been making my list of what to pack for the hospital but even not totally sure with all of that!
  16. I can't believe after almost 9 months since that first initial meeting....all this time spent in doctor's offices, money spent on co-pays and saving up for this surgery, arranging time off work for my husband and myself, arranging the kids care plus rides to school for them once my husband goes back to work, packing and cleaning the house hard core to preparation and the DAY IS FINALLY HERE! I am doing really well on the liver shrink diet and I am down 10 lbs. in the 9 days so far....today is the Clear liquids only I am not worried about handling it but I do have bad stomach pains that the only thing that will cure it is drinking milk. Luckily I have only had to drink milk three times this week during the liver shrink but KNOW that I can't today. Praying hard I don't get the pains today! Good luck to all the other people on this forum who are also having surgery tomorrow! We can all rock this!! Can't wait to see success pictures

    surgery tomorrow

I do take an acid reducer and am taking it to the hospital with me! I was wondering about having to swallow them though since they are huge I might have to see if I can get a smaller pill Long story short they have ruled out an ulcer since I have had the stomach issues for almost 4 years....tons of testing thousands of dollars later and we know NOTHING really. I mean I do have acid reflux, esphogitis, and irritated stomach lining....which my surgeon hopes this surgery will actually help with that!!!

    starting to freak out

At least you got a call!! I honestly feel like I am gonna forget something. I have my antibacterial wash sitting out as a reminder and doing well on the liver shrink diet. Not looking forward to the clear liquid one Tuesday but it will be worth it! I hope my kids can visit. That was one of my questions I wanted answered but they haven't called me back yet. My husband is taking off 3 days of work to stay with me but my parents and the kids want to visit me. We shall see
  19. March 18th and freaking out!! We will all do fine it's normal to freak out I am sure.
  20. @@Christa2015 I am with you! Mine is Wednesday also...hope you get to feeling better! I woke up with a sore throat and totally stopped up...I didn't want to take anything since I was supposed to be off everything except my blood pressure meds 10 days before surgery! I have been gargling salt Water and doing a sinus wash once a day. I finally called the surgeon's office and after two days got a call back and the nurse practitioner was beyond rude acting like I was dumb for even asking if I can take cold meds...I wanted to make sure before I got denied morning of surgery! I still haven't taken anything but do feel TONS better! Been putting vapor rub on my feet and chest and smelling essential oils...still not feeling daring enough to take any actual meds!!! Good luck to everyone and hope you all get over the colds/sickness in time for surgery!!!
  21. yay! Congrats! All the hard work was worth it!! I know the co-morbities for me (high blood pressure that never went away after pregnancy) is one of the main reasons to have this surgery!

    starting to freak out

I have two kids 8 and 13 and my 8 year old daughter is special needs. I am concerned about her but she will be with my parents while i am in the hospital just worried about after I get home with her. I am a little nervous about surgery in general since there are risks but I have had two c-sections so at least I know my reaction with anesthesia etc... I am most concerned about getting denied day of or something....I have now paid my part but haven't heard about any of my pre op testing.....I am assuming no news is good news at this point!!!??! I might freak out about not waking up the night before....it's scary having kids and doing this but it's all to provide them with a healthier mama!!!
