  1. I'm T1 on an insulin pump and got sleeved about 2 years ago. Was good for about a year, lost quite a bit and had energy and then my fibro got really bad and stopped working out, started eating crap again so gained a bit back. Started a Keto diet a couple of weeks ago and that's helping, but I've cut down on my insulin quite a bit but still taking glucophage. I guess the sleeve is still good bc it limits how much i can eat otherwise would have gained more back. When i went for surgery though had to get off the pump and they didn't know how to control my bs so i was a mess (went to TJ for my surgery).

  2. I've fallen off the bandwagon...mostly due to stress which caused my fibromylgia to flare up more so haven't been able to go to the gym. Went for yoga last week and was sore for 3 days :(

Protein doesn't keep my full anymore...I've stopped drinking the shakes b/c they were filling but not anymore. Anyone post op a couple of years share their daily menu of food. I need to start counting calories again and fix myself, i know :(

and please no judging....It's difficult for me to even get out of bed and go to work :*( was so good last year going to the gym a few times, and almost had gotten to my goal weight *sigh*

any advice would be greatly appreciated. and I dont have a dietitian or nutritionst that i can go to bc i dont live in the US anymore...will be going there in the summer time, but for now, need to get back on track.

    thanks

  3. Help!

so I've put on some weight and going back to Protein Shakes and the basics that I was doing before but Protein shakes don't keep me full! What do you guys add to it?

I've been using Protein Powder, milk, handful of spinach, 4 frozen strawberries, and 1 tbsp of benefiber and I'm really hungry within 2 hours! usually I have cottage cheese with berries and a few walnuts, but wanted to go back to shakes because of more protein.

    Any suggestions?

  4. def more clothes! and im buying colors, bright ones! otherwise i'd live in black or navy blue. buying more skirts as well is great. it's becoming an exp habit now because all i want to do is shop and love how i can fit into a S or a M :D

  5. story of my life!!! I used to get asked if i was preggers all the time as well bc i have the same body shape...i would cry whenever someone would ask me. I started telling people "no im fat" and they would get so embarassed...people have no shame!

I didn't have to do a pre surgery diet either bc weight was low so they didn't require it.

Yes that's why I'm not telling people I don't want to hear the your not fat speeches! I am or I wouldn't get asked if I'm pregnant all the time lol!!! I carry my weight in my boobs and tummy! I'm a classic apple with little legs and arms :( My face is getting big now and my head changed shape and that is my final straw!! I don't recognize myself anymore I'm 5'7 and about 205-210. I can work my butt off for months in the gym with clean eating and get down to 185 ish but can never maintain it! I have to work out 2 hours a day cardio and weights and eat 500-800 calories only a day to get there:( Which isn't realistic for anyone to keep at when I work 50 hours a week (4 12 hour shifts as a RN) The struggle is real! I can't wait to get to Tijuana get this done and begin a new way of eating and living!

  6. Yes, I had a BMI of 32 and got it done. I haven't lost it as fast as others because of other health issues as well (diabetic, PCOS) but cut my insulin in half which I think has helped lose the weight. It's taking me a lot longer but I guess it's okay as long as I'm losing and skin is fine as well. I was self pay as well and went to TJ for it. Any questions, feel free to ask :)

  7. you'll be fine. I traveled 22 hrs to get back and was out about 6 weeks as well. Make sure you have Protein powder in baggies, Blender Bottle, Protein Bars, empty Water bottle (to fill up on the plane)

I'm not sure if you said you are traveling by plane or not, but I found ordering a diabetic meal (am diabetic as well) was a LOT better than eating the normal food because i had more Protein and less carbs/bread like the chicken piece was a lot bigger and there was fruit instead of dessert etc.

i found its easy at airports as well, can find chicken caesar salad anywhere and etc.....safe travels!
