    Hey Guys

Hi we're still here!! I had surgery 07/24 and I've lost 70lbs overall, this includes the 17 I lost during pre-op. I have stalled and I'm hovering in the 260's. I'm planning on starting a low carb lifestyle, I've tried Paleo before and it worked, so hopefully this will get the scale moving again. Do you have any specific questions or concerns? I'll try to answer as best as I can.

    Hey Guys

Thanks I'm a slower 'loser' I'm down 45lbs overall. I'm happy with that though because I'm hoping I won't have as much saggy skin if I lose at a moderate pace. Good luck with your surgery.
  3. I was sleeved on 07/24 and my energy level was in the dumps and I was tired all the time....why? Because my protein intake was non-existent and the liquid multi-vitamins taste like crap!! I got the Chobani flip low fat Greek yogurt and gummy vites today. After eating the yogurt n the vites with 30 mins I could feel the difference....I didn't feel as tired and I had energy. Even though there was only 12g of protein in the yogurt it made a difference...tomorrow I start mushy foods so I'll hopefully be getting most of my protein through my food. Good luck....try some Greek yogurt for an energy boost....I'm not fond of protein shake any longer(premiere protein vanilla and various flavors of Isopure) but I'm going to try mixing the premier with fruits and see if that works out. I also ordered the sample pack of unjury(recommended by another member) I'll see how that works out. Good luck!!

    JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP

My doctor recommended collace, there's a liquid version to it as well. During the pre-op liquid phase I was constipated but now during post-op I have a diarrhea. I also recommend citroma it's fizzy but I would shake it to remove the fizz. It works wonders!!

    JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP

It seems different hospitals/doctors have different post op methods....for the 1st 2 weeks after surgery I'm on liquids and I can have jello and really runny/watered down oats or cream of wheat. Then on to puréed foods for another 2 weeks and then solids. My biggest issue is protein intake....everything tastes nasty. I can tol orate the Isopure pineapple/orange/banana flavor but even that takes forever to drink because I don't like it. My other liquid input is good.

I think the focus should not be only the scale but also non-scale victories NSVs....I fit xyz better, I'm able to A longer, etc. also remember you may not be losing weight but you may be losing inches. Take measurements and do comparisons. Also I think slower weightloss helps with your skin elasticity and having less sagging skin. Be positive the surgeries work and you're doing your part....it will all fall in place!!

Quick update....I was sleeved on 07/24. I've lost 12lbs since then and 28lbs since 07/11, which was when I went in for pre-op testing. I feel good just really tired all the time with little to almost no pain. I need to increase my protein and my liquid vitamin intake. I'm almost out of the 2 week post op diet so hopefully I'll increase my protein intake with foods in the puréed stage. Tuna, shredded chicken, ground meats etc....I'll also switch to the gummy vitamins. I'm in NYC and I had my surgery at NYU by Dr. Bradley Schwack.

What an awesome idea. Freeze the stinkers Isopure is definitely gross Yes Isopure is gross....I also find if u shake it vigorously after every sip it makes it a but bit more palpable....not sure of it's all in my head but it works for me. So I drink one Isopure in the day n Premier Protein at night.

No I'm not on puréed stage I'm on liquids still. My reference to babies is that WE are babies, we shouldn't be trying to do too much besides drink, sleep n poop...n take little walks.

I'm on day 4 post-op I'm having problems with my protein intake I drink the Isopure because it's 40 grams of protein in a bottle....try freezing it like a Popsicle.....Or after every sip of Isopure, sip on water. I walked for 5 mins today too. I'm feeling good....I shoved a box with my foot last night n that made my tummy hurt but I got some rest n I feel wayyyy better....just remember you're in a baby stage eat well in our case drink, sleep n sh*t(sorry for being crude). Stay hydrated....we got this!!
