  1. So within the past 2 weeks I've had this head hunger. I'm 4.5 pounds from my GW(150) but I keep floating from 153-155. We had a snow storm this week which doesn't help because I'm not able to get to the gym or walk outside. I hate exercising in my small apartment. My biggest thing is head hunger though. I'm so terrified of going back to where I was. That's my biggest fear. Can someone give me tips or ideas on how to handle this?!?!
  2. YAYAYAYAYYA I'm 184.8!! Not only did I reach my goal weight for this challenge, but I officially am 100 pounds down!!!
  3. Lost .8. I'm kinda bummed and I feel like I'm coming to a stall. I'm still pushing to drop another 6 pounds by the 31st. Today's weight is 191.1
  4. I am almost 5 months out and down 95 pounds. I feel amazing and I have to say I look amazing too. I haven't hit a stall yet and I'm tensing up waiting for it to happen. My biggest fear is gaining my weight back. Can you supporters give me advice or tell me you success stories on maintaining.

  11. I am 21 and had GBP surgery 3 months ago. I will tell you drinking or having a drink is the last thing on my mind. I rather have water than be completely wasted or throwing up. Yes, it's in everyone's best interest not to drink soda, but I have substituted things like coffee with no sugar and no sugar creamer and low sugar orange juice. I am just 3 months and a few days out and I have lost a total of almost 80 pounds so far! Don't let people or unhealthy old habits get in your way. I say, nothing taste better than being healthy.

  16. Hey guys!! I had my surgery on May 19th, so I'm coming up on my 1 month post op. I am doing fantastic! I exercise 5 times a week and my stage 2 diet is going great! I'm taking it careful with what I eat because I'm scared of getting sick. People think it is crazy how I can only eat just a little bit. My doctor sent me a card in the mail this week that I can show to a restaurant and order off the child's menu. I was stoked when I got it in the mail!!! My glue is coming off and I'm now able to swim. I have lost 37 pounds so far, so I'm excited!!! I hope everyone else is doing good!!!
  17. SW-258 CW-254 Goal weight-240
  18. I'm am now 15 days post op and doing great! I went to see my nutritionist today. I have advanced to my puréed stage. I know ever doctor is different, but I can have turkey (including turkey bacon which I love), low fat cheese, and lean meats. I picked up some turkey meatballs and I can have that with marinara sauce. I also can do lean hot dogs. I can have the grilled chicken nuggets from chick- fil- a as well. I feel so much better with being able to eat different foods!!! I saw a girl today that had gastric bypass on May 20th of 2013 and has lost 130! She looks amazing!!! Ahh love the support and encouragement!!
  19. Okay guys so on Tuesday I start my next stage of the post op diet which is puréed food. I go see my NUT on Tuesday, but I wanted to see from you guys what were y'all were able to eat.
  20. I'm doing really good now. I'm 13 days out and feel great! I stuck to my pre op diet because if not your surgery could be aborted because your liver might not be shrunk enough. Also, the pre op diet gets your brain ready for surgery and stops bad habits. I have been to 3 drs in different states and all 3 made the rule that their patients had to do the 2 week pre op diet. I'm almost off my 2 week post op and I have stuck to it. I'm not going to lie..it was hard!!!! Mental hard. But I knew I couldn't cheat because 1.) the surgery would be pointless and I'm setting myself up for failure. 2.) my stomach hasn't healed, so I didn't want a medical issue to happen. And 3.) I didn't want dumping syndrome, esp. during my healing stage. I would recommend distracting yourself when hungry or cravings arrive..at least for now. Your body will not be able to tolerate certain foods. Remember you are doing your surgery for a reason and have goals. Keep you mind on your goals and dreams and don't let food get in your way. I know it's hard, but you can do it!!! (:
  21. I started my journey the 2nd week of February. I didn't have the surgery until May 19th. The process is long but you will be scheduling your surgery before you know it. Hang in there!
  22. Hey everyone! I had my surgery 10 days ago. I feel amazing! I started working out on Monday. I got a membership for the 1st time on Wednesday. Yesterday I think I pushed a little too hard at the gym. I walked on the treadmill with a higher incline and walked faster. I didn't feel any problems while doing the workout, but when I got to my car I felt very weak and faint. I came up and relaxed for the rest of the day. I feel much better today. I've had a hard time getting Protein in. I'm still working on that issue. I added PB2 to my Protein shakes which gives me more protein and Peanut Butter taste(: last weekend was so hard for me with not being able to have "bad" foods. I cannot wait for this coming Tuesday though because I will go to my stage 2 diet! Woot woot!! Overall I feel good! I have lost 27 pounds. I can see I'm leveling off some now. Is that normal? Wednesday I only lost .4 and today I weighed myself and I only lost .2. I'm glad I have lost weight instead of gaining but I just want to make sure this is normal? I hope all of the May gals are doing great! I'm excited on what my life has in store for me!(: Best wishes everyone!
  23. Welcome and CONGRATS on your new life!!! I join this group a few days ago and I'm already in love with all my supporters. You're freshly out of surgery, so you will be tired for a few days. Your tiredness, pain, and soreness will get better. I am almost 11 days out and I'm back at the gym and running errands. Again, congratulations on your new healthy life!!!
  24. Congrats on your new life! I have surgery a week and 3 days ago. I had surgery on a Monday and my pain was gone by Friday. I was very so but no pain. I tried to be on my feet as frequently as I could. I walked and walked. That helps a lot with the gas. I know the gas is awful but it should be working its way out soon. When you pass your swallow test, they will prob give you ice chips. Try to burp if you can. Also try laying on your left side. If you can try sitting up in bed. The gas is not fun, but it will pass.
