I was sleeved May 6th I am down a total of 47 pds I have had like three or four stalls I work out 2-3 days a week I was eating low carb and mostly protein and wasn't losing anything Now I have increased my carbs and it is just inching off What is happening!!!! I am so frustrated
  2. You can put on your own sandals and bend over without wanting to pass out
  3. Yes I did experience this a few times after my surgery I couldn't believe it when I read your post! It is the worst most uncomfortable feeling! I experienced 2-3 episodes of it on separate nights I don't know what caused it or how it stopped All I know is I haven't had an episode in quite a while My surgery was May 6th
  4. Also you can find pb2 on amazon
  5. I was using premier ready to use protein shakes in vanilla They can have a funny "minty" after taste to them tho but they ARE convenient So now I'm using a powder I got at Costco "MTX" in cookies and cream 25g of protein per scoop And I'm not kidding when I tell you it is DELICIOUS
  6. Warm chamomile tea will sit better and be soothing to your tummy ????
  7. Yes! I look forward to each and every day !
  8. So I just finished my 3rd twelve hour shift as a nurse (since my surgery) And I am so not tired! I was able to come home and play with my kids Instead of hitting the bed! Sooo happy about that Surgery date May 6th SW 240 Current weight 200 Living my life again!
  9. I did the same thing during my first and second week out!! Literally had the worst head hunger I chewed foods for the taste and spit it out! The head hunger goes away fast don't worry too much just concentrate on getting better
  10. This is ubsurd to me Why would they not give u instructions for follow up care Shame on them but good for you you did the right thing by going to the ER You will probably be admitted and then they will give you info on who can provide your post op care Keep us posted
  11. Take the prescription it is intended to stop the indifestion
  12. I have found a good trick or so I think... I mix 2 scoops of protein powder , chocolate or vanilla with a premier protein shake (vanilla) from Costco with plenty of ice and top it off with water put it all in a blender bottle to mix out any lumps and it is really really good and almost covers all 60 g of protein in one big drink The premier protein shakes, on their own are too sweet and the powder on its own is just ugh but together it's a perfect blend
  13. Me to! I was sleeved May 6th I've lost 26 PDs since the start I'm eating real food now small bites and I chew the hell out of EVERYTHING Some things don't bother me at all and some things I can only have a bite or to of It's really weird, my relationship with food now But I tell you what it's not the last thing I think about at night nor the first thing in the morning I went grocery shopping today and had so much fun shopping in the health food sections I already have so much more energy And am so glad I decided to do this for myself! Let's keep in touch all!!
  14. Hi crystal! My name is Crystal to! I'm new also I'm also married with 2 kids And started out at about 240 PDs We have a lot in common! I had my surgery may 6th and feel great The first few weeks were tough but I found this forum to be VERY helpful Keep in touch

  17. I to could not stomach anything puréed Just to gross for me! I think I made a big pot of turkey chilli and puréed half of it to eat So gross So yea I pretty much skipped that phase and just did another week of like soft foods Cottage cheese yogurt protein shakes etc And now I eat tiny bites of regular food I'm almost 5 weeks out
  18. I'm with you on that one! I are 3 or 4 pieces of shrimp cocktail earlier And the uncomfortable full feeling with hiccups and burping started immediately It's so in comfortable I to would like to know how everyone determines feeling "full" before it gets to that point! Ugh
  19. I felt the same way I am now 5 weeks out and I couldn't be happier I cried and cried the first few weeks thinking I made a bad decision too but no you didn't and things will start lookin up real soon! Hang in there Walk as much as possible
  20. Congratulations! Yes you will be in pain I'm just keeping it real They sent you home with pain meds right? Just take them as scheduled Walk when you can And just know every day gets a little better than the last Good luck
  21. Ask for or obtain an abdominal binder This will help take the pressure of gravity pulling at your belly and causing discomfort The first week after is the worst and then it gradually Gets better and better Which ever incision hurts the most usually left lower Is where they removed your stomach so that one will obviously hurt longer The incisions are going to look funky until the scab covered with steri strip falls off Believe it or not the dried blood and scab is what makes it look so bad but once that falls off It will look much better Good luck Hun
  22. Doing great! I was sleeved May 6th I'm just now starting to feel a bit more normalcy Lol I can eat more different foods Drinking without any problems Walking a ton And losing weight There will be a moment...or several where you question the decision you have made But it will I repeat it WILL get better and easier And you will realize you made the right decision good luck on your surgery!!
  23. Fantastic results!! Congrats! I'm confused though you weigh 115 and want to lose 20 more PDs? Or did I read that wrong?
