  1. I have had 2 strictures to date and if a food wouldn't clear the opening it came back up, all foods. Now I think I am set with the opening large enough but as I try new things some don't agree. They are coming back up like chicken a lot of the time. Pork tasted good but came back up. Beef is good so far. When it disagrees with me i feel uncomfortable, get the foamies, then it heaves back up with not much effort on my part. This is not dumping right?

It is my understanding dumping involves sweats, anxiety, heart palpitations, diarrhea, sometimes vomit, nausea. Am I correct? There is a difference between the two. Right? When they say if a food doesn't agree with you try again in a week. That is different from dumping. I think. I am confused. Help and advice?

  2. Here is my 2 cents on this. You must eat. If you are not hungry you still need to eat. This is a tool and they work when you listen and do what you are susposed to. Eat every couple of hours. Your stomach can only hold about 3 ounces at a time so little amounts here and there are best. If you don't eat then you don't process nutrients and the body takes from your resources ie Calcium from your bones, etc so it gets what it needs when it wants it. Spice up your shakes with sugar free syrups-that what I do to change out the flavors. I ordered 8 flavors from Torani and depending on my mood depends on the flavor of the time. Easy and different. This is a new lifestyle for you and not really a diet per se so the NUTs don't stress calories as much as they state Protein first, veggies next and if room then carbs. Stick to that and you won't over eat. This is how you help your tool. Analize your exercise routine and make charts and send them to me to get me on an exercise kick. i could use the help!

I know someone who did not eat because she was not hungry and she felt nauseous. She ended up in the e/r thinking she was dehydrated but instead was told she was malnurished. Don't rock the system-it works and let it work for you! She was yelled at and told she almost killed herself. Yikes! Hang in there Wayne!

  3. So you could try this: eat, drink and be merry for one meal and see what it does. It isn't pretty and isn't a good feeling. It will change the way you look at eating and drinking though. New you, new rules and you must abide. I had a chicken dish that was spicy and without thinking I took a big drink of my husband's Water (gulp really-gut reflex) boy I was so so sorry. I had to rush to the ladies room and I threw up, out my nose and mouth and then for 30 minutes the hot spice burned my nostrils because it had come back up. Oh painful memory. I will never repeat that though. I have ice on hand to suck on if I get thristy. it helps.

  4. What I have learned is we are all on our own path. I think I am slower than others but you have to take into consideration that we are all different. Some have gone on pre-surgery diets, some haven't, I would say hang in there you have been losing not gaining and that is good. In the beginning we have swelling too don't forget. Put the scale away it is still your enemy at this point. Weigh yourself once every 2 weeks at the same time for true results. It will come off, just be patient!

  5. I love it! I am going to do that-you inspired me to do a mother daughter photo, in matching colors on the beach when I get down there. Thanks for the inspiration. You are beautiful and so is your daughter. Love your hair!

  6. Just wondering if you have PCOS and you have had RNY did you notice a slower weight loss then others that had it in the same month as you? I know we all want it gone faster than we should but I notice I am slower. Partly because I did not have a prior diet requirement pre-op but I am wondering if the pcos might be the culprit too?

  7. I have had 2 dilations done. They are easy and really will help you. It will give you the ability to eat and drink again! I hoping I don't need anymore. Some of us just heal small. The opening gets too small for things to pass and the dilation does the trick. Some people need it more than once. Me for example. I am hoping not a third time.

  8. I have read where this happens to women. When we have surgery we are rewired hormonally, in fact that is why the type 2 diabetes goes away before the dramatic weightloss. The hormones play a role with this and I bet you are just fine, your body is just adjusting. Do let us know how it goes and what the results are. I was post menopausal and I did not have any issues.

  9. I don't have any answers. I think the best you can do is just nod and ignore them as they have done to you in the past. They are not good enough to talk to now. They just aren't.
