I was in WDW two months post op and had absolutely no problems with Space Mountain, Expedition Everest or BTMRR. I even found that I fit into the cars on Space Mt. a little easier

You will find Disney very accommodating when it comes to dietary needs. I was there in October two months after my surgery and chose restaurants based on their menus ( good reference for this is Restaurant Dining Menus from Walt Disney World). You can share or order an appetizer as a main meal. I've found most items on the children's menus are not really the best fod choices for a bander. There is a lot of debate about the buffets. I made a mistake of asking about that before my surgery on a Disney discussion board I follow and regretted it afterwards. I didn't expect it to be such a hot topic.
All Ears.net is a great resource for people traveling to Disney and they have a section discussing special dietary needs at Special Dietary Needs While Vacationing at Walt Disney World

wow - banded the same day AND within 2 lbs of each others' total loss? That's bizarre!I guess we're band-sisters then!
It's more band siblings

I'm here, but doing a lot of lurking due to a silly thing like work getting in the way. Saw my doctor this morning. I went thinking I was ready for another fill, but he talked me out of it. He made sense, since he said I'm on target so far, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'm already filled about 6.5cc in a 10cc band.
Btw, I noticed we were banded on the same day. We can Celebrate our anniversary together

Well, I'm not extremely impressed this year. I thought the best part of this years performances is when Blake came on to do his new song. It reminded me of how good (Sanjaya aside) last year was... I'm not seeing the meat behind the claims that this is the most talented year ever.Did ya'll hear Sanjaya is doing the bar mitzvah scene?
But didn't you know that this is the MOST TALENTED SEASON EVER?

Anyway, I'm up, drinking, peeing, belching and farting like a windtunnel; I can tolerate a bit of queasiness.
Thanks for the support, lads.

So, you're just being a man, then
Welcome back. Glad everything went well.

Both of the girls that were elminated have good voices, but their performances and stage presence were lacking too. I think we have the best group of final 12 that they've ever had.
I'm surprised that you thought Aisa'h's stage presence was lacking. I thought she was the most personable of the lot. I can't believe she went instead of Kristy Lee. Other than that, I agree with all the other three eliminations. Kady has a good voice, but song choice did her in. Danny's attitude did him in and I wasn't impressed with his version of Tainted Love and Luke was all looks, but his voice did not compare to the remaining singers.

I know about the shrinking problem Mike. I swear I've shrunk some as well.As long as the only shrinking we are talking up is in height

While you gals are all drooling over Jason and Danny, do you mind if I hold out hope that Brooke leaves her husband?

I'll give you that, but what about people that were banded 4-5 mos prior to us. I don't see near the same numbers being put up on a consistent basis as I do with our group.I can't have all th answers!
It's a fair question, but I think you hit the nail on the head. I think we may just be the combination of support, motivation and confidence building that allows us to feel comfortable discussing our issues and successes.

I am scheduled to be banded on May 12th in Freehold, NJ. First, I need to have my gall bladder removed in April due to existing gallstones; then 3 weeks later having the lapband surgery. I am really looking forward to getting past the surgeries and adapting to a new way of living and eating. Any words of advice or encouragemant are greatly welcome!!You're going to have to change your screen name to YourLapIsGettingSmaller

Do you think that we are more successful because we post so much here and are accountable not only to ourselves but to others...or are we successful so we post more? That made my head hurt. Which came first the chicken or the egg beaters? :biggrin2:
We may have it easier than some who started closer to the holidays, because we are already in a good rhythm once they came around. Just think of the people who were banded in November and are on liquids still and having to face all that additional temptation. Just a guess.

Another New Yorker here, banded on 8/22/07.

For me it wasn't weights, but I played soccer in high school and college. Always had a big appetite, but would easily run it off. My soccer career ended when I tore an ACL in my junior year and with the inactivity, the weight started piling on.

Well I totally blew this month. Came down with bronchitis on Tuesday and still can't even walk up a flight of stairs without hacking away. I hope I clear up by Friday in time to get started on March.

A minor point I must make (now that you have both said it) is that the island of St. John does not have an "s" on the end. Please don't think I am being pedantic here. If you say St. John"s", we all think you are talking about the island of Antigua, of which St. John's is the capital city, and then you get us all confused. (And trust me guys, we already have plenty of things to confuse us around here
!)My bad. thanks for the correction. It seems to me the only thing you have to be confused about is which beach to go to on any given day :biggrin2: .
Can't wait 'til October.

I LOVE the Virgin Islands!Ive got a few contacts down there. Ive been to St. Johns, St Martins, St Thomas.
I went to Megans Bay -- beautiful!!
Ok you ladies have got to listern or download the song by Mika called Big Girls are beautiful and let me know what you think...i love it...but i hope it doesnt offend anyone.
Same here. We've been to St. Thomas and St. Johns twice. Love Trunk Bay. Will be going back in October. My only complaint is that it's about time those Brits let go and let us drive on the right side of the road
And to stay on topic. I went to work out last night. Drove into the parking lot and it was packed! There were police cars and an ambulance. It turns out that the gym shares a parking lot with the local ice rink and there was a high school hockey playoff going on involving the local high school which is #1 in the state. There wasn't a spot to be found. So, I missed a workout session opportunity.

I got another session in Sunday. Missed Friday's session due to the storm. :smile2: It has a lot of nerve snowing on my workout day. The good news is that I got the scale moving to the right again

Hello,I am sadly dissapointed to find out that my favorite diet beverage has been discontinued due to lack of consumer interest. I called Lipton and that is what they told me. My question is, can anyone recommed a good tasting diet peach tea? Thanks all!!!
Try the Snapple Diet Peach Tea. It's my favorite. Not only does it help fulfill my liquid requirements, but I find it really fills me up.
