Well I'm letting go of my hope for October 6 surgery ....had my cardiology appt today need two tests that need precert and the followup appt isn't till 9/24.
I know I don't have room to really complain but I'm disappointed.

Not moving fast enough for me...lol. Not nervous or scared or anything. Im ready!!!
I'm with you Dee. I've been researching this for thirteen years!
-
What I did was write a timeline weight history listing the year...what I tried (I.e. ww, 1200 Cal, slimfast etc) what I lost...if any...what I gained and my approximate weight.

Lori I sent you a private message

That's the plan

Its ok I'm comfortable with my decision. My nutritionist is trying to get me into a Vitamin by mail program.

I wasn't comfortable with the scar cream issue (being a very high price for the insurance Co). I'm grateful for the surgery I've waited thirteen years for and don't want to charge them for something I don't need.

I chose to withdraw my application today..

Nutritionist done! On to cardiology tomorrow!
-
I'm also hoping for October 6 or 13th. My appointments are all scheduled in August and I see my surgeon Sept 10. So if all goes well!!!!!
-
I just started with my seminar and first surgeon consult in July. My various insurance/surgeon required clearance appointments start this week. I'm hoping for October surgery. I've wanted this so long. So grateful its within my reach. I'm also pursuing gastric bypass.

I have my one hour nutritionist appt tomorrow and my cardiology appt for clearance Tuesday. Any suggestions or tips or advice on what to expect...what to ask...?

Guess we will see

From what I'm reading they are charging astronomical price for the scar cream...so if i say no I probably will get denied.

Just got an email from insurenutrition that they need more information to process further.????

I'm about 90% decided on RNY. Promised my Dr not to decide until after my nutritionist appt on the 11 th. However unless she leads me into some deep epiphany....I'm choosing bypass.
-
Nothing wrong with being upset about it. We do for our families...100% and heaven forbid we do/ have something just for us! I'm preop but I foresee my clueless overweight (adult) daughter eating up my designated foods....thinking a lockbox for the refrigerator...
-
Thank you all for your responses. I still feel strongly towards bypass but I will put off final decision til after my nutritionist as I promised my doctor. Carol....you are my inspiration! What kind of exercise did you do?
-
You look stunning! I can't wait to start my journey!!

GASTRIC Bypass is what I had decided prior to my surgeon consult. He just advised me to consider both. Ultimately its my decision. I look at dumping as an added plus to bypass. I'm tired of being in this body as I'm sure all if you can understand. I feel bypass is my best choice.
