  1. Welcome Marie! The people on this site are awesome.
  2. Good luck @@jtickle! Let us know how it goes please Getting in shape, losing weight, and possibly a new job...you go girl!
  3. I am sorry to hear that. I have not had my surgery yet but I do see lots of people talking about stalls or not losing anymore and it is usually suggested that you try going back to the basics. Eat like you did the first several weeks after surgery? I am sure others will chime in. I hope you start losing again and get to whatever goal weight you are striving for. Good luck!
  4. As long as no personally identifiable information was discussed it's not an issue. i do think the person that they were talking about should have had the courtesy to call and cancel if they were able to so that surgery slot could have been filled with someone who actually wanted to be there.
  5. Wow that is great! Hope you love to shop lol. I can't wait until I am where you are now. Good job and I hope you are feeling pleased as punch with yourself
  6. Good to know! Thank you all for you replies. i would much rather be cold than hot and sweaty. In my opinion it has always been easier to warm up than it is to cool down Have a great weekend everyone!
  7. Oh wow you have to be kidding? A DIY fecal transplant
  8. Thank you all for your replies. This has been an interesting thread for me. I am learning so much from all of you Thanks again!
  9. Is it true that when I start losing weight I will feel cold? I can't wait for that to happen! (I know be careful of what you wish for lol) I don't think I have worn a winter coat in years - I live in MO so winters get a little chilly. Keeping a fan on at work even in the winter months sure does make people look at you funny. Does anyone have experiences about going from hot to feeling cold after surgery/weight loss to share? Does it last for forever or just while you are losing the weight? Thanks!
  10. Andrea when I have lost 73 lbs I hope I won't mind looking in the mirror either Madam Rev I saw the picture you posted on here and I think you are looking awesome. I hope you can one day soon look in the mirror and see what everyone else sees. Take care ladies and thanks for your comments.
  11. You will be surprised what you can do when you have to The first time is just fear of the unknown. I have read that it's not really painful at all. You can do it if you have to! Good luck!
  12. Happy Birthday to you both! tyngajones good luck with your surgery! I hope you have an uneventful hospital stay
  13. Levonox "Prevents and treats blood clots. Also used to treat certain types of acute heart attacks. This medicine is a blood thinner."
  14. getnhealthyintx I don't think I will ever really enjoy having my pic taken even after weight loss but I do hope to have a professional family pictue taken within the next 2 years. My babies will all be grown up, graduated from highschool, and either in college or just graduating there also...that's a scary thought lol Good luck with the rest of your journey
  15. Congratulations! You will do fine. Will keep you in thoughts and prayers Good luck and I hope you have an uneventful surgery and recovery.
  16. I have read that some people need to inject themselves with a blood thinner after surgery? I think I have read some posts on here about that actually...
  17. emttina looking good! Congratulations!
  18. Wow you must feel like a million bucks right now Congratulations!
  19. Waiting is the hardest thing to do imo. Like Beachgurl84 said they are putting you on the liquid diet so surely that is a positive sign I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
  20. Welcome Jade The people here are amazing.
  21. Thanks BeagleLover that is a good idea. I know kids get into mischief. I have three children myself but I hope I have raised mine with more respect for people and their property. Thanks for your suggestions and I will see what everyone on the street thinks.
  22. JCRSMom I also have no pics of myself and my children except when they were very young - you know when you still had to hold them because they couldn't crawl or walk yet lol Oh the good ol' days I will have to take a pic sometime soon so I have a recent 'before' pic because I want to be able to see the changes. Anyway, good luck to all of you and I hope you all get what you want/need out of this journey Take care!
