Im in corpus! i was sleeved in august but even at 8 months im struggling and would definitely love any support! Especially with ppl who are going thru the same thing so please message me if possible :-)

It's frustrating to say the least. I'm to anxious trying to think about something else. Sorry I'm late responding, but did you ever get ur date? Mine was confirmed for August 4th. I know girl the waiting game is rough..

I told all my family this past weekend when we were all visiting after a baby shower. I just decided to do it even though I was nervous how my aunts and cousins would respond. But They were very supportive and even my cousin asked for my Dr's phone number because she's been considering it herself. That's the reason i'm deciding to tell everyone. Because maybe someone who's overweight like me,feeling hopeless, will see my success and I can tell them with this tool it is possible. Seeing my friends success is what got me to look into vsg myself so.. Not judging anyone's choices because I understand but just saying this is how I personally feel about it.

Are they saying that something might happen to you soon And they're letting you know it's gonna be Ok?

I was getting close to my 3 month weigh in with my dr and I hadn't lost anything. So I did The Scarsedale Diet for 2 wks and lost 12 lbs! You lose 1 lb a day if you stick to it correctly. I'm trying to do it the rt way now but it helped when I needed to lose weight in a hurry. Losing weight is hard. If we we're great at it we wouldn't need the surgery.

I'm getting sleeved in August. I asked my doctor about the lap band. He said while people can lose a large amount of weight,most drs are dropping it because there are more and more reports of complications. And while complications are growing, people are also in the long run eventually gaining the weight back plus some. I had a friend have it and she gained all her weight back. The sleeve is growing in popularity and has excellent success and statistically most keep off the weight for at least 10 years. I'm not trying to bash anyones decision but just sharing what I've read and heard.

We were in the same July Sleevers group but I found out my date might get changed to August too! Won't know till Tuesday but we'll see.

Hey there Jamie! Man seems sooo far away when I first started like you now I'm set to have my gastric sleeve surgery July 21st! Im guessing your going thru insurance like me. It can be exhausting but hang in there it comes quicker than u think. I'd love to be your friend! I can keep ya updated when I have mine so you'll know what to expect

That's great! Glad your not in too much pain or discomfort. If the gas gets bad at home I hear gas x strips help. just saying. Anyways Keep us updated!

What are the search words you've used to look up recipes for puréed type foods? I typed in gastric sleeve soft foods,gastric sleeve liquids, gastric sleeve diet, or just soft foods,pureed foods, or Mushy foods.. Try the blogs also they are a huge help!

Praying for your speedy recovery! I'm not getting mine till next month but I have a friend who did it. She constantly tells me it's scary that day but you'll be sooo happy you did it!

If you don't have a pinterest account you should try it. I found Tons of recipes on there. Now i have hundreds saved.Or you could try The world according to eggface blog she has a lot of great ideas and does giveaways. . Hope that helps a little.

I have not been sleeved yet, but I know people who have and they all told me that's gonna happen, but it's normal. All of them did also say it will pass eventually it's just part of the process. Hang in there, it will get better!

Try checking out The world according to eggface. Her blog is great but if you check her pinterest she has meal ideas for every stage. Pinterest is awesome. If you don't have an account you should get one. I have tons of ideas I found on there!

Gonna be sleeved July 21st but I'm looking forward to... Not having to turn sideways to fit in the seats at certain movie theaters!
