  1. I haven't been able to wear it here lately because I have been so afraid it was going to get lost. I decided to talk to the jeweler about it. I didn't want to have to get it re-sized more than once because I wanted to maintain the integrity of the ring. He told me because of all of the diamonds in it it is better to get it done twice instead of one huge re-sizing. It went down about two ring sizes. YAY! I am so happy to have my engagement ring back! I am a little puffy today due to my Rheumatoid Arthritis, but here it is! Have you had to get rings resized? I had been using this little rubber ring guard and it kept falling off. I just couldn't chance losing it!
  2. Everything was tasting different to me and it has finally started getting back to normal. Crazy.
  3. Today is my 8 week anniversary.
  4. When a regular sized bath towel wraps around you, covering yourself and the other side of the towel!
  5. Latido where you the one who had the recipe for falafel? If so, can you please share it with me again? Did you try itand was it good? If you weren't, then oops. =)
  6. I'm doing a lot better, thank you. I had an endoscopy and they found a stricture and dilated it. I lived in PG County growing up and then we moved out near VA Beach. I have family in and near La Plata. Was just there on Wednesday.
  7. I don't get it either, and I was in the hospital as an inpatient twice and they could have just done it. They only did it for me when I got to the point where I couldn't eat or drink and looked worse than a dead person. If I were you, I would insist. It went on with me from soon after my surgery up until a couple of weeks ago. I could not believe the difference in what it was and what it is now. There was no wonder I couldn't eat!!! They thought I was having either a functional or mechanical issue as well. I was very bad off to the point there were talking feeding tubes! I wish you well, and be your own advocate.
  8. I had told my drs over and over I thought I had a stricture and they would not do an endoscopy. Just kept telling me that nothing like that showed up on the Upper GI. I can see the stricture and it is very closed off looking and it looks like there is something stuck there. It looks like one of my pills that had gotten me admitted into the hospital twice. It shows the dilation of the stricture which is sooooo much larger looking than before the dilation. Unbelievable. There is no wonder I couldn't eat and could barely drink! I was very angry after the endoscopy when they told me I had a stricture, but at the same time very grateful they were able to do something about it. Now looking at the pictures it just magnifies the fact that they weren't listening to me about how I was feeling.
  9. Oh wow. I am so sorry this is happening to you. I have had something similar happen to me. I will be at 8 weeks on this Wednesday and I have been in the hospital twice when things got stuck, and ended up with Pancreatitis. I had a stricture that was opened up 2 weeks ago. I had nausea the whole time and was unable to eat or drink anything and the dr told me he may have to admit me back in and place a picc line and possibly put in a feeding tube in my stomach, and revise the surgery. So yes, it has happened to me. Luckily that endoscopy I had helped and he was able to open up the stricture. I do feel it has closed some and they told me I may have to have it dilated 1-2 more times. I hope you get to doing better.
  10. I was 241 when they weighed me prior to surgery and when I got home from the hospital I weighed 251. I gained ten pounds of fluid! I think it took 3-4 days for it to come off. Each subsequent time (2x) I was in the hospital, I gained 5 pounds. That Fluid comes off easily. No biggie.
  11. The bathing suit shorts that just fit you a few months ago were falling off in the pool yesterday. I wore a bathing suit and didn't feel huge around other people.
  12. Sounds good. Do you make the gnocchi yourself?
  13. My dietitian told me I would be able to eat it later on down the line.
  14. Seems like other people don't really notice our hair loss. I have been losing hair for years due to the weekly chemo I take. The only one who notices that is my fiance because it is all over the place! Whenever I get my hair cut people think it is so thick. In reality, I used to have more than three times the hair I have now.
  15. I don't think juicing is as awful as some people make it out. I usually put in a few vegetables, some spinach, and an apple.
  16. I used to juice fruits and vegetables. I look at the juices on the shelves and they have so much sugar! Do you or have you juiced since surgery? I am gonna ask my dietitian about it on Monday when she calls.
  17. I am so jealous. I bet if I used regulat half and half it wouldn't be so gross.
  18. There is another lady on the board that has gotten pregnant as well. I do not recall her name but maybe she will see this and you guys can be buds! Congrats and good luck!
  19. I tried to drink a decaf (which I usually like just fine) yesterday and it was so bad. I couldn't even drink it. I have to wonder if I just don't drink coffee anymore! That would suck because I have a million K cups!
  20. I think everything I used to drink had 5 billion sugars. There is no way I could drink it right now, or I would be too afraid to, anyway.
