  1. You wear a belt for the first time......in your life!
  2. Thanks. You know the greasy foods bother me more than the sweet, I have noticed...
  3. Thank you. I asked how long he felt like this may go on and he told me that the most he has ever had to do was four dilations. He has no idea if that will be the case with me. He said it is quite possible that they may have to do a revision. It would be nice for me to be well some day. I never thought going into this surgery that I would be so unwell afterwards. I had so much hesitation before the surgery and it very well may be that I should have listened to myself. =(
  4. No. My fiancee is here with me. I was able to get down a little bit of milk earlier, so that is good.
  5. I am going to have another endoscopy on Saturday and then another two weeks after that. Thank you!
  6. They look really good. I may give them a try when I am able to eat again!
  7. Yep. I can see it now. Is this the same site as the falafels?
  8. I saw my surgeon today because food has been getting stuck again and now I am at the point where Fluid will not go down and I can't take my medicine. He wanted to do the endoscopy tomorrow but there was no availability. He is on call this weekend and wants me to come in through the ER. Then he will do another one two weeks later. I asked him how long this is going to go on and he said he has done as many as 4 on a patient. I could possibly have to have a revision done but we are not sure about that. He told me that they did not appreciate the fact that I had a stricture before. I had it much earlier than anyone ever really gets one and they just didn't think that could have been my problem. I have been having such a rough time with this surgery. That is for darned sure.
  9. I don't see a recipe attached to this link.
  10. I have been through all of this before. I was much worse off than I am right now, and it was bad.... =(
  11. You know I am lucky to get in my Multivitamins every day and I am surely not getting the calories, Protein, and liquid that I need. I am having another endoscopy next week some time. Hopefully we can work this all out!!
  12. I'd like to know too! =)
  13. I have no idea what they can do, but I have a call in to them. I am out of state so I can't do anything until Thursday at the earliest.
  14. They were thinking I may need a stomach tube the last time around. I kept telling them I thought I had a stricture and they kept saying no. I was dehydrated and couldn't eat or hardly drink. They dilated it some until they met with resistance. Tomorrow makes 4 weeks that I had it done and at about two weeks I could feel it forming again. Thank you for your prayers and support. Things have been pretty rough for me since surgery. I guess I've had two good weeks....
  15. Thank you. I am here at my fiances parents and I am in rough shape. This is the third day in a row I am like this now and it is bad.
  16. Thank you. I sure hope so. We are supposed to go out of town for 4 days and I am really worried about doing that..... I am pretty concerned because I am not going to be able to get my medicine down...
  17. I liked the chocolate until I started in with a stricture. I used them before surgery as well. They should actually have 30 mg Protein per 11 oz shake.
  18. Or the one I had needs to be dilated some more. For the past two days now when I eat things are getting stuck. I have been absolutely miserable. I've hardly been able to drink anything because whatever I have eaten is just stuck. When I think I may be able to eat something else I have only fooled myself. This absolutely sucks.
  19. That's funny. When I talked to my daughter a bit after surgery she was wondering if I lost all of my weight!
  20. I am doing much better since they took care of my stricture. I have been feeling my medicine go down and some feel like they are getting stuck again. I imagine I will have to have another endoscopy for further dilation. Yesterday was the worse day since before. I was so nauseous and just on the verge of getting sick. I was feeling pretty bad... Thank you so much for asking!
  21. Wow. I sure have issue with it. I sometimes have problem with scrambled eggs. I seem to be able to handle them better when they are cooked medium and with cheese. I wonder if today is just a really bad day for eating. I had trouble with tunafish at lunch and that has never happened. Oh bother.
  22. I am 8 weeks post surgery and whenever I have tried to eat anything beef I get in a bad way. Either a really bad stomachache or severe nausea. It doesn't matter if it is ground beef or not. Does anyone else have an issue with ground beef, and if so, did it go away after some time? I suppose for ground meat I can always use turkey but what about steak? I may just have to give it up for the way it makes me feel.
  23. Well I saw my dr today and he was talking about me losing 40 lbs. I am putting myself at losing 57 more pounds to be at goal. That would be at the higher end of the normal weight scale, which to me is kind of small for me. He could be right with that, I guess we will see!
  24. Awww! Thank you Angel! I kinda have to agree with you!!! =)
