  1. Where is Southern NOVA?
  2. Well I have an issue with demerol so I put no demerol on mine. I am liking mine so far. We will see. I had one years ago that I loved and somehow I lost it.
  3. How do you like the one that you have? I have seen them online but never actually seen or used one.
  4. I had it once and never again. Right after surgery...
  5. It sounds like it. Also, starches can turn into sugars. I would try to stop with sugary things for a while and see if it continues or not.
  6. You just request it. I am getting one, and different shops make them. You just have to look up medical alert bracelets. I saw a lot of them.
  7. It was great meeting you guys!!!
  8. I will be there. Will you be checking this or your fb? I don't see any reason not to go, just know that my hair looks like crap after being out in the rain and wearing a hat. Just warning you!
  9. Well great! I will see you this evening and hopefully Beni as well!
  10. @@Beni are you still going to the meeting tonight? I will be there. @@Fab@Forty are you still going?
  11. Has anyone ordered off ETSY? I ordered a cuff bracelet off of ETSY and am waiting for it to arrive! https://www.etsy.com/listing/159759972/medical-alert-id-bracelet-personalized?ref=hp_mod_rf I got this one because the skinnier one wouldn't fit all my stuff! I got all of the writing on the inside and a caduceus on each cuff end.
  12. I am not able to get the fluids or Protein in by far. food gets stuck and my medicine gets stuck. When food gets stuck it is very painful and I end up with n/v.
  13. I have one that I've had 4 endoscopies and dilations for. You probably need to let your dr know what's going on.
  14. He said it was there but better this time.
  15. He said it would cause pain and acid reflux and that the stent would cause more problems with my medication trying to go down.....I have no idea.
  16. Glad you guys are doing well. I have no idea how much more I will have to go through. I asked today about a stent and he said he did not think that was an option for me.
  17. I don't know but I haven't seen you around! How have you been? I had my 4th endoscopy/stricture today. Yay me!
  18. @@amorse30 are you going to the next meeting next week?
  19. Nice! I have brown hair kinda medium length.......
  20. Yes I think I can! I don't have anything else going on that I know of....
  21. When is the meeting next week?
  22. I had a sleep study and was found to have obstructive sleep apnea but that has gone away. I have always had this problem and it is no fun for sure! I hope they get something figured out for you!
  23. Sorry to hear that. I am due for my 4 month check up here soon as well but have had many other appts in between. I am not sleeping well or eating/drinking enough either but it is because of my stricture. Going in for the 4th time this Friday to have an endoscopy and dilation.
  24. This sounds like the same old story. I am back in for another endoscopy this Friday coming up due to my forever returning stricture. I plan to tell the surgeon that I want to be scheduled to have a stent placed. This is just getting to be too much. My life is normal for almost 2 week increments and that is just not enough for me. Has anyone else had a stent placed, and if so, can you tell me about it? I am so tired of living on basically a liquid-pureed diet. In 5 days I will be at 4 months post-op.
