  1. I have felt exactly the same. I knew that my life would not be normal as it was before surgery, but I never knew my life would be miserable. Unfortunately I know all to well how you feel. My liver enzymes were elevated both times I was admitted to the hospital and I ended up having pancreatitis. I certainly wish you well!
  2. Ok. try out that site. Lots of great recipes there!
  3. I don't know if you are pre or post surgery, but for post surgery... http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/
  4. And I've had a pill stuck in my throat all day and poo to that!
  5. I'm glad you are doing so well! I am still waiting on the scheduling of my 4th endoscopy, so I haven't had it yet. Once I have it it takes around 2 weeks for the stricture to come back. It is really awful! YAY to the yogurt! That's just about all I can eat right now......
  6. Hi Beni! I was just thinking of you this morning and wondering how you were doing after surgery! Well, I have alreadyhad the third one, someone brought this thread back up. I haven't posted a thread about it but I am on the fourth now.... =(
  7. OMg I am so sorry. I hope I am not dealing with this in three years! I will say my stricture is back again. It only ever works for about two weeks. =(
  8. That is so great! I am gonna have to find a winter coat!
  9. You know I just would have never thought of that and my surgeons never said it, either. I am glad for the OP starting this thread! =)
  10. I am wondering if I should get one. Well I know I need one because I have epilepsy!
  11. The weather is not becoming warmer where I am!
  12. I usually weigh once a day. I do not have a negative reaction if it has not gone down or even if it goes up. I know that weight can fluctuate, and I also know that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and a lot of the time I have a bit of swelling throughout my body.
  13. I was before surgery. After surgery I have not been able to tolerate it. Saves me a lot of money!
  14. I had my phone and charger and a couple of changes of underwear. I also brought some wipes and lipbalm. I wished I had brought earplugs because I shared a room with a girl who was loud as well as were her guests. I didn't bring Gas X strips but I wish I had those as well. I got them once I got home...
  15. I have never thought of that but it makes sense.
  16. I agree with the BP meds thing also (if you are on them). I was taking Verapamil for headaches as rx by my neurologist and a couple of weeks post op, I was always dizzy and light headed and felt like I was gonna pass out. My internist took me off of it and I have been fine ever since, except for my other issues and my headaches coming back, of course.
  17. I suggest you set one up! Nothing feels better than entering in your weight and watching the pounds go down, as well as the BMI!
  18. Hey Beni! I didn't realize the time had passed already! I had my surgery there too. I did have issue with that one nurse Jon. I had to share a room with someone and she was loud as was her company, all day and night. Bring some earplugs! Good luck tomorrow!!!!
  19. I had an appointment with my surgeon yesterday and he said he thinks I may need one more. He also said after 5 dilations they would consider the stent.
  20. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia and there is not much I can take either because everything has and NSAID in it. For my FM, I take Cymbolta and it does help me. For my RA I take biologics. I have been taking Tylenol for my aches and pains and I sure do understand how it doesn't work. I am a person who never relied on narcotics in the past, only IBU, but since surgery I have had to use some narcotic medications.
  21. I have a half sleeve and have lost some weight on the arms and it hasn't really affected it much, I am still in the weight loss process, though....
  22. Hi there. You know what the dr said it was and what it looked like compared to the last time do not match up, so I am not so sure. I had it last Thursday and so far I am doing pretty good. I follow up tomorrow. At any rate, there was another stricture and he did have to open it up again. That last time I was scheduled 2 weeks between the endoscopies and he didn't say anything about scheduling another one, so I guess it will just be wait and see. I am hoping I won't have to. I would love for it to just be how it is supposed to be,and it is getting pretty expensive!
  23. Sorry to hear that. I have been pretty bad off since surgery as well. My dr talked about a revision of my surgery. I am hoping it doesn't come to that.
