That's to bad you're allergic. I think the tAste is disgusting too. I like the Unjury brand. Clean and pure hospital quality brand.

My last holiday before surgery.... Sleeved in 5 days! I'm glad I get to enjoy TG not for the food but to be pain free lol and just enjoy the day. I'm at the park playing with my grand daughter. It's 81 degrees out and we've been bike riding now playing. I am feeling blessed! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What a great idea. I get so caught up in the planning, prepping, classes I forget to dig deep and think about what I will be able to accomplish with the weight gone, beyond the obvious of course . Number one for me tho is being able to play longer, harder, goofier with my grand daughter whom I adore.

My Dr said he wanted me on a one day only liq diet pre op. I was expecting a lot more but happy that's it.

Do you know how long your hospital stay will be? I'm supposed to go home the next day.

My pre op blood work is done....everything looks good....got my liq Zantac and pain med, Vitamins, and protein all stocked up..... Ready to go on Dec. 3. 10 days away!

My ins does a blood test to see if there's nicotine in your system.... If there is the surgery is cancelled!

I tried several flavors. Awful taste going down and after taste. Yuck.

I want to do the B 12 shots. The less pills the better.

My Kaiser surgeon and NUT loves the unjury bariatric one a day chewable. And their Protein powder. I will have to take the B 1 & 12 and calcium separately but that's it, the rest is in the multi. Which I am grateful for. Are you with Kaiser in Ca? My good friend is going to be sleeves thru Kaiser also about a month after me. We had different leaders for our options classes and very different information was given out. Over all tho I'm happy with Kaiser.

Hello, I am having the sleeve surg on Dec. 3. On the third day Post op I start my full liquid diet. My paperwork says I can have strained cream soups. I HATE creamed soups. I need ideas on what to eat in replace of those. What kinds of food did you all eat? Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Thanks for asking . It's the taste and texture..... Even the smell gags me. I do like Cream of Wheat tho. How are you feeling? Have you been hungry?

My nut recommended Unjury whey protein. It's hospital grade and formulated for bariatric pts. I also use their multi vitamins. You can check it out at Unjury.com. The taste of the chicken soup, choc, vanilla flavored powder are good. They have lots of products to choose from. It made me feel easier knowing that many many hospitals use Unjury.

I only have to be on a liquid diet the day before surgery (Dec. 3) my ins co does not do a psych eval.

I'm learning too..... It's a lot to take in. I'm trying to not make mistakes along the way like buying the wrong products.

After looking at the list of vitamins my surgeon said is essential I looked at my regular multi and quickly figured out I could stay with it and supplement what wasn't in it or get a bariatric formulated that contained all but the B 12. I don't like taking pills of any kind so this better for me. However it may take awhile to chew the big thing lol. I'm going to get my B12 in a shot once a month.

I wouldn't wait...... Focus on family, having fun, start a new tradition? On TG. Don't make food or what you think you're missing out on the focus.

We have the same date for surgery..... I can't wait for it to be done and on my way to being healthier!
