  1. No need to brae down more. I do understand and have read a post by you about this same thing. It was just one of those things that I had to pt out there Thanks for taking the time to answering my post .
  2. Very well said. This is how I have been feeling since I have started to research this. It was one of these questions I has to ask out loud Thanks for your story and opinion.
  3. So I was wondering. There is a thread that has been pretty hot around here.Through out the many post people start saying things about a surgery in the 4500 or so range just can't be done and the surgeon must cut corners and an use black market supplies. So what I just don't under stand is every surgeon in that range are all that way ?? What I mean is there are a good hand full that are in that range. So does that mean they all cut corners and use cheap or bad supplies. They do not seem to say any thing about other Doctors besides the one that is a hot ticket item right now. So unless you go to a MX surgeon that is 7 to 9 thousand range they are not good. ?? Just a thought. I mean many people say I talked to them( doctor or (coordinator) and asked what they use and so on. Well do you think they are going to tell you otherwise. HOW do you really know. I am not one to pick and think to deep but after reading a bit last night it just made you wonder. On another note. When calling for a US surgeon that could take you on if something should come up. many say they just call around and ask. So are you talking to the Doctor or some one that handles request like that ?? I was wondering who do you ask for . Thanks

    Price tag for Dr. Quinones?

This is how I am feeling to. I need to know if a major complication came up how is it going to be handled. Thanks for your honest feed back and keep me posted as well after you go and how it went for you.
  5. http://www.mexicobariatricsurgerycenters.com/ I came across this line up of medical places in Mexico that do sleeves and ratings. The Doc I am looking at gets good reviews but the clinic he is at seems to be low on the list. I am not sure what holds Water here but I was wondering what your thoughts were on them and ratings. Dr Q is in the Santa Fe Clinic. I also found one looking into his clinic and who it was certified by they could not find ?? thanks for any thought and info

    Price tag for Dr. Quinones?

I like what I hear about him. My friend had so far good care. But I did find that his clinic is a smaller one. If something happens during surgery do they have what out need to deal with it. I saw this not sure what holds Water but his clinic was on the low end. Any thoughts? http://www.mexicobariatricsurgerycenters.com/

    Methods of Self paying

That sounds like the normal.. I am having a MIR on a knee in a few day and think I might a surgery for that. So I think my sleeve will have to get in line. I am still just starting to save. I do child care and of course when I really have something I need to save for my numbers are down Looking forward to you thought on how everything goes. Good luck
  9. What are the general methods for self pay. Cash Check paypal do they take credit cards. I know some finance. I am really leaning on Dr Sergio Q and one know if he finances ??
  10. Thanks for your advice. I guess I am just maybe over thinking this. But did not want to be stuck on my own ounce I got home. would feel bad and do not want to look unprepared for the long term care.
  11. Hey I am a newbie to this site. But have been throwing WLS around for year. I will be self paid and most likely heading to Mexico I had a very good friend just got a sleeve done in Mx and i feel pretty comfortable going that route . But the after care is what really is holding me back a bit ( and saving the money) I am wondering when you and if you did look for a instate surgeon to be available if something major came up and you needed them. How did you start the conversation at asking if they would do after care for people that had surgery out of US. I am at a lost how to ask my Gp about after care. How much do you really need Blood test and what. else. How did you all do it. I am scared I will say or word it the wrong way and scare them away?? Thanks
  12. I was looking for ladies that have been sleeved in the Minnesota area that have found a surgeon that will treat Mx sleeved patients if a complications come up. I am feeling confident on my thoughts about getting surgery in Mx but the after care is what put a hitch in my step So many Docs have no t so nice options at times about going there. How do you have that conversation with your doc or a new one for after care follow up. Do you really have a lot of follow up care? Any advice welcome
  13. Sassy I will he he he I like knowing that Dr Q will record it .
