Hi all I am officially three weeks out and today I felt physical hunger for the first time and its scary because I have read that people with the sleeve never feel physical hunger. So I am nervous about my success already. Can anybody chime in, did your hunger come back, is this normal, I actually left my dietician a message today!!!
I am 4 weeks out today. I have felt hunger within the last week. Especially in the morning but after I eat my bowl of Cereal it goes away. I have never heard that about not feeling hunger. That is interesting.

I am now on soft foods week three yay but I'm scared to start chewing, I have a sample food list just want to know how was it for people who first started on the soft foods. Any suggestions, did you feel the fullness quick?
Scrambled eggs witha little bit of cheese and smoked turkey (sandwich meat)

hair fall out is no joke -- I cut 85% off at 3 months out and still fall out at almost 6 months out now. Im getting over 100g of Protein daily and take all of my Vitamins. You have to sip and walk like its your full time job to prevent dehydration and Constipation. Trust me I learned the very hard way. I had surprise hiatal hernia repair pain from hell. Things do get better but its not easy for everyone -- I'm on Instagram @Sleever1212. Good luck!!
Yes Lawd constipation is something out of this WORLD. Absolutely NO JOKE. O LORD, a have story out of this world that not everyone can appreciate, but I know my fellow sleevers can! Please drink your fluids and get moving around. The best advice EVER!!!

Oh no!! @sandisleeve. I have to have a hernia repair. That makes it worst? How bad was recovery?
I had a hernia repair and I have to say my surgery was not bad AT ALL! I think it is different with everyone, with a wide array of variables. Some people don't like surgery and it will just be horrible regardless, some people's pain tolerance is very different and some people's surgery recovery is just down right awful. Try not to base your expectations on others experience. Use it as a tool of Preparedness but not as a crutch for fearfulness. You got this!!!!

They are all really great in that office. I dealt with Dr. Carlton during my first consultation. They are very fast moving. To be honest I only saw Dr Nicholson 3 times. During my intial consultation, right before my surgery in the pre surgery room, and follow up in the recovery room. It is like well oiled machine. Quick and efficient. They will answer any and all questions you have though.

@ SweetCryss Did you have your surgery in Dallas @ the Nicolson clinic? I'm new to this and I have pre op tomorrow. I don't know what to expect.
Sure here is what it is I absolutely love this stuff. I used Hairfinity before but I had way better results with this!

Diva I am sorry about the complications you are experiencing. I am a little over a week out and physically have not had any issues (knock on wood) so my prayers and positive energy are with you. I did think yesterday like wow I made a permanent decision regarding my body that I could not do on my own and briefly was like what did I do. I realize we are both in the beginning phase so will experience a lot of these thoughts and I know it doesn't help when physically you are suffering. I know you will get through it and I know that this was not a easy decision and pray in the end will be happy with the decision we made. You will feel better...
I think we all have that thought "I can't believe I did that". So funny to get confirmation that we are not alone in out thoughts.

I'm needing some prayer and cheerleaders. I'm exactly one week from surgery and down 13lbs. I should be excited but I feel so bad the weight loss means nothing! I still can't get everything down and daily pray that I don't dehydrate due to severe heartburn. They kept me in the hospital for 4 days because of it and still no combination of drug is working. I'm concerned about potential Hair loss and needing to live with this pain. ..It's way too much. Really feeling like I made the wrong decision right now. Who knew that heart burn could be so significant? ??@!@@@
Just be patient with yourself. One thing I have learned is that everyone's journey through this wls path is different. There will be times where you are like I can not believe I did this to myself. But you have to wait until you get over your hill. Take it easy and don't rush the process. As far as the hair loss I was fortunate enough to be introduced to a company that has a product specifically for your Hair growth right before my surgery and it has been great. My hair has actually gotten thicker and grown a lot.

I am 7 days post op and I still have a drain, which will be removed on Friday. I also had hernia repair. Drains are very common but not all surgeons use them.
Interesting. I wonder what are the determining factors of rather you have one or no?

My side area is still hurting. On a scale of 0 pain-10 extreme pain, I'm at a constant 4. Calling my surgeon tomorrow to see what she thinks. Ughhhhh! I pray it's not even sleeve related. I haven't had any physical problems with the sleeve. I'm 7 and a half weeks out. I'll report back what she had to say.
Please do

I did not have those with my sleeve and I had hernia repair too.
I had both (sleeve and hernia repair) as well but I keep seeing people post about having their drains removed so I was curious as to if it was the "Norm".

Curious. I have seen a couple of people mention "drains removed". Just curious because I did not have drains after I woke up from surgery. Are drains normal for sleeve?

I had a similar pain. It felt like I pulled something. My dr said that is the side where my stomach was removed and I'd feel some soreness for a few weeks especially after I was more physical. It took a few weeks, but went away.
I am a little better today

Thx. I amMy doc says the same. However I've learned that if I take a stool softener and get things moving, the pain goes away until the next time things get blocked up.
It's worth a try

Not since friday. I mentioned that to my doctor when I talked to her and she did not think it was related. She told me to keep an eye on my temp and watch for the pain becoming constant and increasing.
