  1. Get a heat pad for the shoulders. The air will hurt and your shoulders will hurt. The heat is awesome on it and will let you sleep well. Make sure it auto turns off. They are cheap at local drug store or Amazon. I had a huge hiatal hernia repair and my only pain was from it with the shoulders. I say buy heat pack and you will not go wrong. Also take your anti acid like the doctor says, if he does not give you one ask for one.

  2. Ok, all I am going to say is you are all beautiful men and women. Those people are jealous or do not know how to interact with you as you have changed, but they have not. Do not believe them, do not let them get you down, remember why you went through the pain and hardship of losing the weight. family you cannot got rid of, but if it is a friend you need a new one or sit down and tell them how it feels. They will probably tell you why they say what they say.

  3. I had shoulder pain, but I had a huge hernia repair where lots of air was added to get to the hernia. This could be why so many have shoulder pain. A heating pad I slept with help huge. It was a shoulder wrap that turned off on its own. I love that thing and have next to bed. People should also walk a lot. The more you walk the less the pain in gas.

  4. Well I was sleeved on June 17th. I have had ups and downs, but am happy. Kind of upset that I still want to eat the normal items I did before, but working with doctor on that. My surgeon what awesome. Dr. Eric Harris from Puget Sound Surgical and the nurses were great. I did have issues, but it was my bodies fault. I had diarrhea then I got sick (which stunk), and then I got a rash where the purple glue was put. I am finally healing and walking a tone. I am so excited and ready to start working out again.

I started the journey at 260.

    Weight at surgery was 245.

Current weight is 230 to 235 as I am constipated now the diarrhea is gone.

Looking forwarded to losing more, but waiting to check until I am 100% healed as body still swollen from issues.

Let me know how you are doing or if you ran into the issues I did.

  5. I had the same issue. I went to the doctor. It could be 3 things. You could have C - diff which is a stool culture, small leak - check to see if you have fever or your stitches are not extra hot, or it could just be your body getting rid of everything. I would double check with the doctor so you do not get dehydrated.

I had same issue and doctor had me do immodum AD liquid. Hold nose as it is gross, but makes you feel better.

Hope this helps as I has the same issue for 10 days after.

  6. OK here are a few. Get some mashed potatoes with cream cheese (makes it runny) then cook up manwich. Stick in blender and save small amounts. Then eat or reheat when needed. Good and fills you up. Also, nectar protien is awesome with a few frozen peaches blended with crystal light. Yummy and cool drink for summar. you can make popcical out of the left overs.

  7. I had the sleeve. Since so soon after surgery I have yet to have a bowl movement, but have lots of gass. I have been walking around like I am post pregnancy :) well it feels like that. I am hoping to have bowl movement soon.

How long after surgery did it take to have a bowl movement?

  8. I had gallbladder out for years. Just had the surgery done on Thursday. Ask for a nausea behind ear patch and nausea meds during surgery and after. My doctor kept filling me up with anti nausea which so helpped. Just tell your surgeon and the nurses. They will keep you on the anti nausea.

Also I had a huge hernia repair which in the long run will help with nausea as pre-surgery I would get nauseated all the time.

Prior to leaving the hospital ask for a nausea med that will go under tong.

Hope this helps you. Let me know if you have more questions as I am in recoup mode.

  9. Hi Shiner,

I am still on pain meds.fluuds I have not been bad on as I am burping every time I drink or when I walk all the Gass comes out.

Try chicken broth. For some reason after the sleeve it tastes so good. Normally I would be like gross, but it is so good.

I rotate drinks so I am not bored. I drink a sip of Water, then a sip or crystal light, protien drink, and then broth. I rotate the combination, but it seems like I am getting a lot of fluids.

I am still on pain meds, but should off soon.

Have you taken a shower yet? Also does any of your areas fell like they are burning when you get up?

  10. Hi guys,

Had my surgery. Everything went great. I had a huge highatel hernia that he fixed.

The nurses that took care of me were great. Doctor Eric Harris did a great job.

I am pushing the fluids, though I have a lot off gas.

I will give update when I am less drugged.
