  1. Yes it seems like I can eat a lot of carbs which is odd and yogurt.
  2. Agreed it seems you can eat carbs like normal so be careful on carbs. Walk a lot as it helps. Any issues with protein?

  4. Also since you are a women ask for a lower incision as I could not were a bra for 3 weeks while it healed. So have baggy shirt for drive home from surgery.
  5. Get a heat pad for the shoulders. The air will hurt and your shoulders will hurt. The heat is awesome on it and will let you sleep well. Make sure it auto turns off. They are cheap at local drug store or amazon. I had a huge hiatal hernia repair and my only pain was from it with the shoulders. I say buy heat pack and you will not go wrong. Also take your anti acid like the doctor says, if he does not give you one ask for one.
  6. I know it is odd I burp or hiccup if full also. If I eat to much I have to go on a long walk. I had sleeve on June 17th. When did you guys start working out?
  7. Ok, all I am going to say is you are all beautiful men and women. Those people are jealous or do not know how to interact with you as you have changed, but they have not. Do not believe them, do not let them get you down, remember why you went through the pain and hardship of losing the weight. family you cannot got rid of, but if it is a friend you need a new one or sit down and tell them how it feels. They will probably tell you why they say what they say.
  8. Congrats you guys. I am June 17 and have lost 30. Cannot wait to get to 200.
  9. I had shoulder pain, but I had a huge hernia repair where lots of air was added to get to the hernia. This could be why so many have shoulder pain. A heating pad I slept with help huge. It was a shoulder wrap that turned off on its own. I love that thing and have next to bed. People should also walk a lot. The more you walk the less the pain in gas.

  12. Well I was sleeved on June 17th. I have had ups and downs, but am happy. Kind of upset that I still want to eat the normal items I did before, but working with doctor on that. My surgeon what awesome. Dr. Eric Harris from Puget Sound Surgical and the nurses were great. I did have issues, but it was my bodies fault. I had diarrhea then I got sick (which stunk), and then I got a rash where the purple glue was put. I am finally healing and walking a tone. I am so excited and ready to start working out again. I started the journey at 260. Weight at surgery was 245. Current weight is 230 to 235 as I am constipated now the diarrhea is gone. Looking forwarded to losing more, but waiting to check until I am 100% healed as body still swollen from issues. Let me know how you are doing or if you ran into the issues I did.
  13. My doctor told me to wait about a month and half. To start walking more and more then slowly get into working out as my body heals and adjusts.
  14. I had the same issue. I went to the doctor. It could be 3 things. You could have C - diff which is a stool culture, small leak - check to see if you have fever or your stitches are not extra hot, or it could just be your body getting rid of everything. I would double check with the doctor so you do not get dehydrated. I had same issue and doctor had me do immodum AD liquid. Hold nose as it is gross, but makes you feel better. Hope this helps as I has the same issue for 10 days after.

  16. I was honest with my girls 9 and 12. Told them that I wanted to be healthy and live a long life with them. To not be worried and that I love them.
