My husband met me thin and loved me fat... However in all fairness, I was checked out. I worked and I did the things necessary to keep things in order at home, but I was unhappy and tired all the time. I never wanted to leave the house because I hated to get dressed and it made me down right angry at everyone!!!
Yet, he loved me inspire of all that. He never made me feel bad and as a matter of fact he often told me how beautiful he still thought I was.
Now 122 pounds less I'm happier and I know that impacts him in a positive way, but since he never uttered a negative thing before it's hard to tell.... So I asked him.
He said its hard not to notice the physical and emotional changes and then he said to me I didn't realize how much I missed wrapping you up in my arms... Like all the way around you. ❤️❤️❤️I am sure that I am married to the most wonderful person in the world. We have been married 18 years.

I'm 214.5.... I've not met my goal the last two challenges, but here it is 3 weeks in to this one and I've met it. I picked this weight because it's exactly 100lbs lost since my surgery date (it is 8 months today). I have lost a total of 145 lbs since I started this journey Feb 6, 2014. Today I wouldn't even qualify for surgery (BMI 34.6). My BMI when I started was 58. Lots of emotions... I'm also only 4 lbs away from the weight I was when I went to my first OB appoint with my son who will be 17 this month. (I went on to gain more than 80 lbs during that pregnancy, which obviously I never lost).
What am I doing different this challenge. I am doing a whole30 with a friend. That is it. Since I haven't been eating a whole lot of sugar and carbs prior to this not a huge change, but I am eating cleaner and I have been enjoying fruit and green smoothies.< /p>
I can taste wonderland... My goal for
My surgery is 165 (my surgeons gaol 260... She is super conservative and that would have been 100lbs lost total and 50% of my excess weight lost. Needless to say she is beyond thrilled with my progress)... I hope to get there by July 8...my 39th birthday and 6 days shy of my 1 year surgiversary.

The fear of failure keeps people paralyzed!!! Don't let that be the reason you don't make a change....
I'm 7 months out, I've lost 137 pounds, and I have 55 more before I am at my goal. I have passed up my surgeons goal. She only expected me to lose 50% of my excess weight. She is beyond thrilled.
My point of this post is my oldest son made a comment when he heard me talking about WLS in general... He said it's the easy way out...
Flash forward 7 1/2 months he said to me the other day... OMG mom your shredded... His way of saying I've been working out a lot...
Point is most people who say it's the easy way probably have never known a person who has had WLS and worked it like they were supposed too!!!
WLS is a tool and like all tools it can be used properly or not. Those who use it properly will experience a lifetime of fulfillment from gaining their lives back. Those who use it improperly and lose some weight and then regain because they did not make the mental change too are why the public at large see WLS as the easy way and often see it as not working.

It seems like you're planning on the changes in lifestyle, diet, exercise and surgery not being enough. I researched a lot before VSG surgery, went to support groups, talked to people. There wasn't a lot out there anectdotally or otherwise to support the idea that people over 380lbs have long-term success with VSG surgery alone. In fact, many don't even complete initial weight loss goals before they start gaining again. However, even this site is full of people who defy that grim statement.
The reality is that you sort of have to look at the real picture. The food/weight issue is a dangerous, destructive addiction that stalks and kills just like other dangerous/destructive addictions. There are no magic cures, not even surgjcal ones - just tools to help. Whatever surgery you choose, your long-term success might be directly proportionate to the effort you put not only into beginning and maintaing a healthy lifestyle but also addressing the issues that led you to becoming obese in the first place. This has been my experience and my journey so far. I hope my two cents worth helps.
    Peace

Why are you eating such a limited amount of things....variety is the spice of life. Isn't the monotony of a diet why we always fail... Stop dieting and find a way if eating that can be a life long lifestyle change for you. Why no eating out? I amJust a little over six months out and I eat out. I just make good food choices. I have lost 133 pounds as of this morning. I have not felt deprived one single day since I started eating regular foods post op except I do often buy donuts on Sunday mornings for my boys and I have not had one since I had surgery. Having said that I am usually ok with that.
You need to stop acting like you are in a diet and find a happy medium that you can live with and succeed. Good luck. One of the youtubers I watch made what I think is a very profound statement... I did not do this so I couldn't eat. She has also lost more than 100lbs and has been at her goal weight for a few months.
