lwprice got a reaction from meyouus in Poop
Mine are not daily anymore either. Try increasing your Fluid intake if you can. Also I use Miralax on occasion to help loosen things up a little. It's more gentle.

lwprice got a reaction from catdaddy in Vegetarians & Vegans
I am 6 months post op at the end of this month and have lost 103 lbs so far. Have about 40-50 more to go to get to my goal. I used to be vegetarian/vegan and find myself wanting to get back to that lifestyle often. Any post op veg people have suggestions on getting the minimum 60g of Protein required without the meat and without feeling like I'm having to eat constantly in order to meet that requirement? I'm still at the point that getting 60g is a struggle because I literally cannot eat that much food.

lwprice got a reaction from Ginger Snaps in What type of yogurt do you use?
I agree that the Yoplait 100 calorie Greek is the best tasting. Doesn't have that horrible tangy goat cheesy taste that some others have. I know every doctor is a little different and mine suggested keeping sugars under 10g each per serving. All of the yoplait 100 calorie Greek yogurts fit that and they are high in Protein too.

lwprice got a reaction from pik in Recovery..... do you really need someone the first few weeks?
I would definitely have someone there to help you. You are limited to what you can do for the first couple of weeks...no lifting over 10lbs, no pushing/pulling, no house cleaning, things like that. No driving for a week. Plus you are pretty weak from the surgery itself. And you may have pain...mine has been pretty moderate and I'm thankful my mom has been around. Everyone is different but I would suggest having someone there for you the first couple of weeks.
