Wow we are set up for the same day!!!! Are you nervous?

8/25 here!

August 25th is my new date finally!!! Original date was July 15th! Insurance wanted 2more months of dietary planning!! Ugh!!! Anyway everything's cool now, no anxiety as of yet!!!

Was a July 15th surgery date.....now my new surgery date is august 25th I'm excited!

Actually Tisa I wasn't referring to enjoying food I meant enjoying the summer with my family instead if worrying about recovery and things like that..this past year I've done a complete 360(eating habits,exercise& food choices)..it's has been the hardest yet most liberating process I've ever been through!!! I made the decision for surgery and I've been living healthier so that once I have the surgery it won't be such a culture shock to my life and the lives of my family..so yeah I'm bummed but GODS got a plan and I'm ready for surgery...

Oh really do you mind if I asked you your surgeon was..mine will be dr gruner Just wanna know ur experience and hospital stay!

hey congrats my surgery was scheduled for july 15th but the surgery called a couple days ago my insurance wants me to see the dietician again this month and next month so my surgery has been pushed back to august Im bummed but at least i know my insurance will approve it keep us posted.....

Ur right!!! I'm just saying instead of recovering from surgery in July I can enjoy my summer with my family... So much so I won't have time to be nervous about the surgery in august..so I'm grateful at least I know I'm approved just gotta wait Thanks for your insight...

Soooo just got a call from my surgeon and he said medicaid wants 2more months of nutrition counseling to make 6 months so no July surgery for me now I have to wait until August..kinda bummed but I know everything happens for a reason..but I was just wrapping my thought and training myself to do right and be prepared for surgery...so I'm guessing it's gods way of saying ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!!! And wait a month..but at least I know it's approved...anyone else experience this

yes I live in Illinois....Im having my surgery through the Surgical Associates at Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston...

yes im familair with county care..I was just reading different outcomes and praying that I didnt have to wait that long..I went to doc on may 30 and my surgery is scheduled for july15th..So yeah I agree it has to be up to your doc/surgeon in some cases,,,thanks for the reply!

hello I just wanted to take time out to thank you for all of your posts and updates!! Thay are giving my e life! I am having my VSG July 15th,2014 and your updates are very inspiring and real and as a newbie I love to hear the good and the bad days..thanks again..Hope your progress continues and that youre happy !!!

also a friend of mine suggested that after surgery the surgeons should recommend counseling because its def a reality check and I agree...

My psych eval was long like 3hours long ugh!!! They basiclally asked about my family history,why did I want the surgery and what am I planning to do after surgery to maintain..Asked if I felt guilty after eating like did I wanna harm myself because I ate too much. Now I dont know about anyone else and Im not the one to judge but I was thinking in my head like hell no I feel good when I eat lol thats the problem!!! But for real they just wanna make sure youre mentally ready for this transition and they had me fill out a personality questionnaire like 40 pages....all in all it went well..I had a friend who didnt pass her psych eval because she loves ice cream and she told em that and they felt like it was her weakness and wouldnt allow her to pass the eval until another visit was scheduled so beware of what you reveal to the psych doc they take everything into consideration... youll be fine!! good luck

im sorry i read this and i couldnt help but chuckle at the jar of pickles lol stay strong i start my liq diet in a couple weeks and a couple of my friends that had the surgery were like gurlll its the hardest thing and i honestly think ill be like you but instead of pickles itll be ice cream ... maybe I should make sure theres none left when that time comes so I dont cave...keep me posted again and congrats you can do it

I think for sure every insurance is different just don't get why the whole 6month deal..cuz really if anyone was great at losing the weight we wouldn't be seeking help by surgery...

My surgery is July 15th

Went to see surgeon Friday the 30th of May and he scheduled my surgery for tues July 15th!! It just got real lol

I agree with the fact that chatting with other people helps bunches..because I'm so nervous even after all the research I've done..I've never been skinny ever I don't know how I'm gonna look lol
