  1. I love reading posts from ppl who tell others they shouldn't get lapband because they have a high BMI...joke

I've seen too many people fail at lap band (yes, due to their own non-compliance in these particular cases). So I went a step further for the sleeve (it was my doctor's recommendation as well, because I had a high BMI and a lot to lose...but in the end it was my choice)

I used to do pretty well with quinoa pre-surgery. Post surgery? Not so much.

  3. I'm still undecided on whether to join a gym. I'm still sufficiently challenged by the biking and walking that I do. And I enjoy both activities. I find "working out" mind numbingly boring when it's not downright unpleasant. But on the other hand, maybe if my muscle mass increases, my metabolism will get kicked into high gear. What to do?

I'm 9 weeks out, and most of my exercise comes from walking or biking, although I do have dumbbells and do light lifting a few times a week. If walking and biking work for you, stick with it. I find I don't stay with what I don't enjoy, so I stick with the tried and true :D

Our kitten thankfully sleeps until 5...and he wakes up wanting attention. He sleeps on my bf's head, and when he decides it's time to get up, he plays with hair or nudges hands until he gets attention. It takes him half an hour or so to work up to meowing.
