    AM I REALLY DOING THIS?!

I had my surgery in July of 2014 and it was honestly the best decision I've ever made. Once I decided it was what I wanted to do I never panicked once, maybe because I knew it was my last option. But I also got approved and scheduled for a week after I got the call so it all happened extremely fast for me! The biggest advice I would have for all of you is follow your doctors instructions!! If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer them if I can! Good luck you guys, it's not an easy journey but it's so incredibly worth it(: Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  4. i had my surgery almost a year ago, July 7th 2014, and i am having such a hard time eating anything at all. food doesn't interest me at all, it almost seems like a chore to eat. when i do eat it ends up being Cereal or a cheese stick because the thought of eating real food makes me nauseous. I feel so tired and weak all the time and i know it's from not eating. So my question is, has anyone been through this? How did you get through it. i need some positive good advice. If anyone has found any websites with meal plans or recipes that would be greatly appreciated! I'm down 107 pounds but i still have about 30 more to go. but i haven't lost anything in the last 2 months because of not eating the way i'm supposed to. so please help!
  5. The pain to me felt like I had done hundreds of sit ups! I didn't really have any gas pain.. I can't remember the day of surgery and the day after very well, I slept through most of it! Taking the first drink wasn't painful it was just different. I was prepared for it to be so painful so when it wasn't at all I was so relieved. Everyone experiences pain and surgery differently but that's how it was for me(:

I'm 19 and had my surgery in July. It was honestly the best decision I've ever made. You won't regret it, it's just getting to that point that's hard lol. Good luck to both of you! I'm here if you have any questions(:
  7. I had my surgery on July 7th and I do not regret it at all. It's harder some days then others but I didn't expect it to be a walk in the park.. I think the thing that helped me the most is this site and my aunt who had the surgery 2 years ago.. Being able to have someone in your life who has gone through what you're going through is a huge help. It's almost 3 weeks and I'm down 31 pounds. Without the sleeve this would never have been possible! Only you will be able to make this decision because it's a big life changing thing! But either way good luck!

    July sleevers anyone?

am thinking on trying the cream soups today but not sure did it make u feel bad?? make sure you either strain the chunks out or blend it! I'm not sure if I ate to much or if it was just too rich.. I may try it again today. I'm kinda getting sick of the sweetness of everything I've been drinking! I did try chocolate pudding and that was totally fine.

I was sleeved on July 7th also! I'm able to drink diet snapple, water and powerade zero.. The Gatorade is way to sweet for me now! I tried some cream soup last night but i don't think I was ready for that..

    People Won't Cater to You

This is the most true thing I've read. I was just sleeved on Monday. My parents own a restaurant and on Tuesday night my sister brought home food, which happens to be my favorite item on the menu! At first I was kinda upset but then I realized she's not going to stop eating just because I can't.. The last couple of days have been much easier!
  12. Hey everyone I'm 4 days postop and I can't handle the sweetness of everything I've been drinking.. I've tried Gatorade, snapple, pudding, yogurt and Popsicles but it's all too sweet.. I tried broth but it upsets my tummy.. And suggestions would be appreciated!!

    3 days post op- help

I didn't have a catheter but I was able to get up and walk.. The walking actually helped with the pain. I am so sorry you're having problems:/ just remember this will all be worth it. And you only have to go though if once!!

    July 2014 :)

my surgery was on Monday. I stayed over night in the hospital and got home at about 8 last night. After the surgery and pretty Much all yesterday I was pain free. The nurses said at 24 hours post op is when you feel the most pain and they were definitely right. And as much as you're not going to want to you have to walk walk walk! It's the only thing that has helped me today. Good luck to everyone who is having surgery this month! It's all worth it!!
  19. I took phentermine for a while. And it worked at first but just like everything else it stopped working and I gained everything and more back..

    Looking for July Sleevers!

I also have chronic headaches so I know how you feel! Mine have been worse the last 2 days because I've been on all liquids. Not eating for a while usually makes my headaches worse so that's my guess on why..
