You are seeing a psychiatrist, but do they also do talk therapy with you? I know many don't, so I thought I'd ask. If not, I'd certainly try to find a good therapist.
I actually talked to my therapist yesterday about the same issue, i.e. being more judgemental toward other large people. It make me realize I'm not actually judging them, I'm seeing myself in them and judging how I used to be.
Also, you are only two months out from surgery and I know my emotional roller coaster didn't stop until about month 5. Its totally normal to be super touchy. And yes, I did pick a fight with someone on FB once, but he deserved it since he was trying to sell something to WLS patients that he claimed would eliminate 50+ pounds of excess skin.

Things happen. I know a guy who went to Stanford for hip replacement and had a heart attack on the table. He was in great shape at one of the best hospitals in the country and he didn't make it. The odds are in your favor. You never know what medical conditions people have going in to surgery unless you know them personally. It's a terrible tragedy when things don't go the way we want them too but again things happen. You are using a surgeon who has lots of experience and many many positive outcomes, you are also young. You should be informed of course but we take chances every day. Especially on the freeways. My sleeve was so easy. The best decision I have ever made. Think positive, be positive and look forward to the future.

Hey everyone I just wanted to add a few photos - I'm exactly 2.5 months post surgery and it's really easy for me to feel like I haven't made much progress ... my sister has helped me document my progress and I wanted to share with you pictures we took yesterday. Big difference!

Complain to your doc regularly that you have itchy flop over underneath and start building a case for your insurance to pay for pannicylectomy

Hands down Dr. Ariel Ortiz. On of the few Centers of Excellent in the world. Google him. He's been in Newsweek, Oprah and many other publications. He is nicer than ca be nod gives the best service. Had him for my sleeve in April 2014 . Maybe a li more but if you have a hernia he will repair no extra charge, there is a doctor MD on the floor 24-7, if you have any issues at night he will be at the center within 30 minutes and have you picked up at the hotel right away, he has done the most bariatric procedures earning him the center of excellence accreditation . He works with Dr. Martinez who is wonderful as well. If any complication or concern arises once you get home he will talk to you over the phone and have you come back ASAP and handle it right away.
Seriously, I heard people talk at the Marriott and Dr. Ortiz patients were all very happy and treated better with more information and follow up once you get home. Google him. You can read about him yourself. Loved him an Dr. Martinez.

RJ, I cried enough over the weekend to fill buckets so I figure some humor was due. I will admit, I am not the model patient when it comes to some of my instructions (I am rabid about logging my intake but that is it), I usually take a Centrum Vitamin and extra thiamin as well as an additional B complex Vitamin but I don't take Calcium and my Fluid intake was god awful...but this was a giant wake-up call. Because of the stones, I am not restarting my Calcium as my last set of labs were in the rock-star range without it, but fluids are my new BFF! It was also a good reminder not to become jaded towards my own patients when they are admitted-being in the hospital kinda sucks so I now have an even greater appreciation for staying out
There are all kinds of equations to figure out optimum Fluid intake but a simple rule of thumb is, keep your urine as clear as Water and you should be golden, er pardon the pun >.> Additionally, if you are not having to empty your bladder every 2 hours, then up the intake (disclaimer: this is provided you are human, have normal renal function, are not at a public fairground, or have other instructions from your personal care provider)...Blessings to all, and to all a good night.

Fabulous ! Congratulations you have done an awesome job! You look so great and healthy I am so apply for you, such an accomplishment. You motivate the rest of us so thank you for that.

Here is a new before and after pic, the before was taken in the Dr's office at my first appointment, the after( me leaning on my paramedic truck) was taken at a weight loss surgery the dr had last night. before was 379 lbs November 2012, after 220 lbs July 9 2014.

I was sleeved 4/9 as well. Lots of nausea the first 10 weeks but now starting to feel good.

eggs. Same thing happened to me. I'm ten weeks out and still can't tolerate them.
