I had my weight loss surgery 4 months ago and am down 84lbs, and my husband is driving me nuts, he is convinced I am cheating on him, he said it has nothing to do with the weight loss but that's BS!!! 84 lbs ago he could care less what I did, were I went or if I even came home after a night out with the girls, now he blows up my phone the entire time Im out and I have never given him a reason to believe that I was. I am how ever going out more than I was, I no longer feel like the big pink elephant in the room and I can actually find cute clothes that fit me. Its really an insult that he felt like no one would bother with me before but now I might have a shot. He's even looked at my phone records and was calling numbers!!! I know 2 other people that have had surgeries and they to are now divorced which is were I feel like I want to be, not because I want to find better but because he thought so little of me. well i have been the same weight for a while now and today i'm 3 wks out.
i am NOT scale obsessed. i don't care what the number is, really, as long as it's moving. i have been keeping a casual eye on the scale just to see if this 3 wk thing is for real.
well, for me it seems so...darn it! i have just started on softs though, and i have been adding more foods over the past 4-5 days so it could just be my body catching up.
i'm NOT worried and i know that my body needs a moment to just comprehend and then start losing again. for now i will just put the scale away and focus on my new, healthy habits and i know that in a few weeks when i weigh again i will be pleasantly surprised!

In two days I will be on a plane heading to San Diego! And on Thursday I will have surgery in Tijuana. Im packing, cleaning, getting everything set for the kiddos (We have five little ones) and ordering stuff I'll need postop so it's here when we get back. Just had to take a moment to stop for a little bit of crazy and say- I am seriously having 85% of my STOMACH permanently removed in three days!!!?? Oh my goodness. It's so weird and scary and exciting at the same time. I'm soooo scared to fly and have surgery. I hope everything goes fine. I'm going to miss my babies so much. Ah, I'm a wreck. Can't wait until this is all over and we are home again...

1 year as of May 17 and that big girl with the pretty face is gone. I'm so grateful and proud of how far I've come. I still can't believe it's me in the pictures or when I pass a store window. I've lost 102 lbs and now working on the last 10. Festival season in New Orleans is hard on my good eating habits...but I'm getting back on track. Have a awesome weekend everybody and good luck!!!! I am scheduled for June 24, I guess it really hasn't sank in yet but Im super excited. Im having to go to Mexico for my surgery because our insurance was a no go but I found an awesome doctor with a wonderful coordinator that will be by my side the entire time...anyone else going to Mexico in June??
