@@LAG hope it's different for you, But I have been on full liquids since this past Thursday and I'm still starving. I'm no less hungry then I was on clear liquids, I'm calling my surgeon in the morning and seeing if I can get my post-op appointment moved up. I'm hoping he okays me to go on to soft foods, I really can't take this much longer.
  3. Not regretting surgery, Just regretting when I got it...Cold...Cold...So Very Cold...

      5BeautifulDays

That was the first thing out of my mouth when I saw my dr. for my two-week follow-up. On a 90 degree day. "I'm cold all the time!" LOL

He said it was totally normal, and to expect it to get worse through the winter--"invest in fleece!" he said! What a joker. It's more than just losing weight. It's operating on so few calories, as well as our bodies spending so much energy on healing. It should get better in a year or two.

While I'm glad to hear this is a normal thing to be experiencing, I can't wait to get over it and move on to the soft food phase so I can feel a little more comfortable..

@@HaddocksEyes I wish I felt full.. Since coming home I've been able to get 64oz of water and 80gr of protein in each day no issue which is great considering...The issue is I can literally sit and eat a whole 4oz bowl of soup and not get a sense of fullness, Yes it takes me forever to eat it but at the end I'm still hungry. I'm on full liquids now and yogurt was included in that on my nutrition packet so I did almost a full cup of Greek yogurt today and that actually helped hold me over for a longer period of time then any of the cream soups did, So I plan on eating that for a while.

Hope you feel better real soon. I felt so bad for about 2-3 weeks, that I almost felt bad for having the surgery. But, it did finally pass, and I can't imagine where I would be today if I had not done it. I am 4 months out and doing great now. Hang in there and definitely rest, drink water, and get as much protein as possible in.

I've been resting a lot and taking my pills (pian and vitamins) been getting in 60oz of water and 80gr of protein a day. I have no feeling of fullness yet and I'm feeling hungry no matter what I do. I hope once I hit puree phase things will change, I'm starting to get worried the surgeon made my sleeve too big or something lol.

You won't ever feel full on liquids. Once you are on something more sold you will notice a difference and will not be able to eat nearly as much as you think!

@@motherof5 I haven't tried blending meat into my soup bc it didn't say to do that in my instruction, so I was trying to stick to the rules...I've blended brocoli cheddar soup and added light sour cream, chicken stock and strained beef stew. I'm seriously considering going out to get my favorite Crab Bisque today and blending that, Not exactly Fat Free but oh well.

Thanks for the advice everyone. @@flipper20 I'm on full liquids only right now, so I can't eat any of what you listed except for the Protein shakes and tea of course.
  10. From what I understand New Whey protein shots are junk and filled with collagen based protein in which your body doesn't fully absorb, So you might want to cut that protein count back a bit.

    REGRETS IN LIFE

Your Life's Not Over Yet!... Take it one day at a time, One step at a time. Don't just put your hands down and call yourself defeated thing's will fall into place if you let them.
  14. Was sleeved Monday at 8am, Spent the night in the hospital due to pain and nausea could barely keep water down. Been home since Tuesday at 2:30, Have been doing pretty well since then, No pain when I'm drinking, No heart burn..Today I got 40oz of liquid in and 60grams of protein..

3 day's post op and diarrhea

I experienced it today at 3 day's out as well. I've been getting in a good amount of liquid so I'm not really that concerned about it, I just assumed it's from the extra fluids in my system and maybe reserves from the laxative I had to take the night before surgery lol,
  16. HalloweenBaby24

    Quick Question.

I was sleeved this past Monday and spent one night in the hospital due to nausea and pain. Been home since 2:00 Tuesday and have been holding down liquids now pretty well, My tummy was looking for room temp. I notice though, Every time I take a sip I burp...It's not painful or anything but I was wonder if the burps were caused from me doing something wrong?..Drinking too much, Too fast? Or is it just something that happens.
  17. Surgery went well, Sent one night in the hospital. Home now in a little pain but it's getting better!

    Wanted: September Sleevers!

@@barbclay the pain meds are the hardest to get down, I tried 2 last night as prescribed but I almost puked so I've been sticking to one if I need it. I feel like I'm doing pretty well as far as liquids go, still not hitting that 64oz goal but am getting about 30oz a day.

    Wanted: September Sleevers!

@@barbclay how do you feel now that your home?, Got mine Monday morning and spent the night in the hospital bc of pain and nausea. Home now but still in a good amount of pain.
  20. So tomorrow at 4:30 in the bloody morning!, I will be heading to the hospital to have my surgery.. Surgery time is scheduled for 7:30 and I have to be there 2 hours early. I'm nervous and scared, But also excited ready to get it done and over with. Thankfully my husband took off the week to spend with me, I will be home same day if everything goes well. My young daughter is staying with her grandparents in Maryland till Wednesday, Miss her already So everything is ready and set into place, Going to try to make it out today (Or send my husband out since I'll be on laxatives) for a few last minute essentials: Heating pad and Isopure.. I will update here come tomorrow morning when I get to the hospital, Or beforehand if I'm feeling nervous.. P.S. I already have an escape plan set up from the hospital in my head, So if you all don't hear from me tomorrow check the news stations they'll probably be covering the story of the crazy woman from NJ with her butt hanging out of a hospital gown terrorizing the town.

    Tomorrow's My Day!

Doing a little better today, still in a good amount of pain but at 3 days out its what I expected. The pain/nausea meds are definitely doing their jobs. No real protein yet, have only been sipping on water managed to get about 25oz in since last night. Found out my tummy preferred room temp water, the cold makes me feel a bit sick and it's harder to get down.
