So, I have accepted the facts!
Fact #1, YES, I REALLY am pregnant. Per Doc, I'm 8w 1d due a week before my bday in late August. Just took 17 years and the thought of giving up completely as of 2015....go figure!
Fact #2, YES, I really lost 106 lbs and was 4 lbs from goal when I found out I was pregnant. The scale has been climbing every since. I've already gained 6 lbs...and boy do I feel it...
Fact #3, YES, Per Doc, I do have to get a C-section since it's too soon after the surgery to put that kind of strain of pushing.
Fact #4 YES, Per Doc, I may get to pick the date, based on a few factors and I'd love to have our bday on the same day...i think..lol
Fact #5 YES, Per Doc, I will gain a small amount of weight that will drop off almost instantly after the baby, most say by week 3 they were back to the pre-preg weight.
Fact #6 YES, I have a love/hate affair with my boobs and butt...I'm like Yaaay, WELCOME back but then again, I feel the weight that comes with it.
Fact #7 YES, I know I'm pregnant and still have a mental battle with gaining weight and seeing it all return so soon but NO DOUBT in my mind at all, I'm having this baby and everything that comes with it!!! HAPPILY!!
Fact #8 YES, I do feel the stares and hear the whispers of "she got skinny just to get fat again" and I choose not to correct them but I do know that Pregnant does not mean FAT! #winches
Fact #9 NO doubling up on pills, Per Doc, the prenatal pill replaces the multi Vitamin.
Fact #10 NO, I dont have any issues eating at this time. Maybe eating enough is still an issue but before the baby, I could barely eat at all, now I have a healthy appetite. Still very little but steadily eating throughout the day is easier now and satisfying.
Just wanted to share in case it helps someone, I'll keep you posted...Good day all!!

I had surgery last Tuesday and was told the same as most everyone else..I was told not to even step on the scale until my first post-op appointment. My doc said with a combo of the iv fluids and our bodies going into a "mini" starvation mode due to not eating much or anything at all after surgery will cause our bodies to cling to everything.

At week 3 and able to eat lunch meat, ground meat and greek yogurt I find it easy to get in my Protein. I am totally off all Protein Drinks

Im just over a week post op and the routine laid out by my docter every 15 mins 1 oz of Water and every 30 mins 1 oz of Protein. im fine drinking Water but Protein Drink is killing me not because my stomach cant take it. im just so sick of it the smell of it makes me gag i just want to avoid it because the thought of drinking it right now makes me sick to my stomach with my two weeks pre op liquid diet im about 4 weeks deep on just drinking Protein any help would be awesome not sure what to do i have tried 3 different brands and different flavors they taste fine im just sick of the liquid and the smell and its hard for me to overcome that

Quick Note: please don't post stuff like "you can't predict what will happen", "everyone's different." That's not what I'm asking. I want to know of any known issues or long term side effects of the sleeve surgery that people are often blinded to because of the euphoria of weightloss and being thin.

I am having my sleeve surgery this Monday, June 2nd. Really looking forward to it. If you have not seen my other posts, I am going from the band to sleeve. I'm actually more excited to get the band removed than the sleeve but both are very exciting.
I have done soooo much research and am 100% confident with my decision. However, one thing I am interested in is hearing from people who have had the sleeve for 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years plus. I am 31 and will have the sleeve for a the rest of my life, but I seem to hear very little from people who have had the sleeve for a long period. Most are from people who have had the sleeve 2 years and under.
My main concern is this, are there any long term complications that come about with the sleeve that doctors and other medical providers don't like to share? Let's face it, they run a business and bad news is bad business. We all know the issues with the band. I can speek for that, and this is one of the reasons I am asking. The problem with the band is that you could be fine for a year, but then suddenly you have sever discomfort whether its while your sleeping, at work, or on vacation in some remote location. As long as I am doing what I'm supposed to be doing with the sleeve, will there be any unexpected complications with the sleeve like experienced with the band?

I am there with you...the first 4 days were difficult for me and I cheated several times...including going to fast food 1 time...yesterday I did a lot better but still wasn't right on track...so don't feel alone..as of today I also have 10 days left and it feels a little easier for me and I have followed my pre-op diet completely but it's only 11am...I can do this and I am sure you can too.

Insurance came through in 2 hrs after it was submitted. APPROVED! My surgery date is May 29th at noon. That's 2 weeks and well 9 minutes now lol. So very excited to start this journey. I might wanna throw up a little but other wise in excited. Lol. Btw 2 weeks and 8 minutes now. Hahahhahaaaa yay!!!!

My surgeon normally does a 2 day high Protein liquid diet...but he is having me do it for 2 wks because my BMI is 50...Someone else on BariatricPal had this same question and a few ppl freaked out on her and told her that her surgeon was doing something wrong. My surgeon said that it really depends on each individual's own situation and I trust him wholeheartedly, he comes highly recommended and is considered a "Center of Excellence" surgeon. So excited!!! My surgery is scheduled for June 3rd!!! But now I feel a bit nervous too...I have to do a 2 wk pre-op diet which is because I have a BMI of 50...otherwise he only does a 2 day liquid diet...but that's okay more time to prepare. OMG! Can't wait!
