Hi Everyone, Glad to hear that our group is doing well. I had one set back Gallbladder went out, so back to surgery for a removal. I had more recovery time so I haven't done the exercise I should have. I have managed to lose about 72 pounds. I am still not getting my Protein like I should, but I am off my B/P medicine, reflux medicine and having to buy more clothes. I do not have as much joint pain. I should have my labs back next week. I feel I have a ways to go. I set my goal at 170, but now I am not sure I want to get that low. I find I don't always do what I should be doing, it is difficult to go out to eat,but I am glad I made the decision to have this surgery. It has been hard at times, but I feel my life is going in the right direction. I have a class reunion this weekend and feel better about myself. Everyone keep up the good work.

Hi, mtibodo2 I had my surgery at Memorial Hermann, Houston, April 16,2014. I think, know matter how well you prepare yourself for your surgery you are never 100% sure how your body is going to react. You need to look at the long range out come just in my six weeks I am off 2 medications, have no reflux ,no B/P problems , join pain improved , bladder problem improved and have lost 40lb. Surgery is never fun , but I am sure you will do great. You may hit some bumps along the way, but we are here to help you. GOOD LUCK

Hi everyone, I have a problem. I don't know if it is between my ears or if anything can be done. I am 4 weeks out. I have formed such an aversion against sweet tasting things that even the thought make me have the dry heaves. I can't get my Proteins in with Protein Drink. I now all I want is ice Water. I still have poor energy level. I am trying to learn to read my body, but not sure when I am hungry. My husband says eat it anyway. I can't when I heave I don't stop and it feels like it comes from the bottom (of who knows where) I have lost about 30 lbs. Just let me know if anyone has had a similar problem. I know this could no be good.

It is so good to know there are others that feel the same as me. I thought I wasn't going to be hungry. Especially when I am cooking my husband a meal. I will do what I need to progress as I should. This is going to be harder than I thought. I never thought I would hate everything sweet. I think once I can get my strength back I really will be a whole new person.

Hi All, I also had surgery 10 days ago. I just signed up a few minutes ago I hope I did it right. Thank you all for being so direct. I do better if things are not color coated . Now I am in that time where I am not glad I did this. I guess time will improve things.
