  1. I have gone from a size 18 to a size 8. I can see how much smaller I am but I don't feel thin. Can't help it but I keep waiting to feel thin and I don't know what I am waiting for. Has anyone else experienced this and if so when did it change? If it did. Thanks.

    Too tight! Now in pain!

I tried going to work today and they sent me home. Called the dr. And asked if there was a OTC or prescription he could give me dr the reflux. He explained to me it is all the band and it must still be too tight and he wanted me in as soon as possible. Feel much better but the true tet will be trying to sleep tonight! Thanks for your advice.
  3. I got a fill last Thursday and was in terrible pain starting on Sat. Couldn't eat, sleep and even fluids wouldn't go down. Went in yesterday to get Fluid out. Well, I can now swallow but can't sleep due to the tremendous acid reflux. I am guessing there is swelling due to all of the vomiting. Has anyone else had this? I am going to call dr. This morning but is it something that normally just needs to be waited out or is there something that you have taken that has helped in the past. I am not asking for medical advise just someone to put my fears at rest, at least a little. I,am so afraid all of the stress from this weekend did irreparable damage! Help!
  4. Had a fill approx. 5 weeks ago. Made it through Christmas fine but then got a head cold. The mucus seemed to be blocking my band went three times to my regular dr, finally got liquid antibiotics and the cold seems to be subsiding but the last two weeks I have not been able to keep much down. The last few days I haven't been able to even drink liquids, even warm tea is pushing back up. I go to the surgeon n Thursday and can't even think about a fill but am terrified about an infill. I don't want to take any steps backward. Has anyone gone through this? Thoughts or suggestions. Thanks.
  5. I got banded in August and have been very successful. 53 pounds at last fill but since then what started as a virus proceeded to a pretty bad head cold with ton of mucus and post nasal drip. Hw do you deal with it? I haven't been able to hold a ton down until the mucus starts pushing back. Tried mucin ex and it seemed to make it worse. I am sure it will pass and am just looking for suggestions for the mean time. I am on a pretty strong antibiotic so sure it will be cleared up soon. Any help would be appreciated! Love my band and the life it has given me so far. I know this is jump a pump in the road. Thanks!

  8. Congrats! I am only a week out and am so glad I made this decision. I am sure you will be too. My husband also has not supported my surgery but my parents and close friends have. I had been sick for years and had swollen up approximately 8 months ago. ALL swelling is gone! I love just staring at my feet and legs because while not svelt yet they are normal! I can't wait to see all the other changes in store for me. Enjoy the ride and know that you will get a ton of support on this site! Reach out people are hear to listen and offer advice!
  9. I like the unjury choc. Splendor and vanilla with skim milk and ice in blender. I was banded pn Tuesday and found that I could ly do two sakes with the milk. The third I liked to use either the unjury strawberry sorbet n crystal light lemonade. I also lie the nectars to mx it up. I aso keep te premier choc and vanilla on hand for on the go! Hope it helps. I found I was not hungry doing it this way!
  10. Had my surgery two days ago. They hospital stay was wonderful. I am now home and in Pain with a cital P. my Dr. Sent me home with Tylenol w/codein and told me to be proactive and make sure that I am medicated before the pain happens. Well, that train has already passed and I am afraid of taking too much. My second issue is that he gave me it in pill form. I am petrified to get stuck or cause damage to my oh so tender belly. Any alive or past experience you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  11. I feel your pain or stress as it may be. I am also scheduled for tomorrow and have been questioning everything I have done so far. I cried twice today because I am afraid I forgot something. It doesn't help that my daughter, 10 yeas old, broke her wrist on Sunday and we spent the day trying to get her into an orthopedist because I know I will be out of commission for a little bit. She us such a trooper! I have to try and model myself on her. Together we will get through this. Good luck to everyone! Will keep good thoughts for all of you!

I really like the unjury choc splendor w/pb2 in it! Actually I really like the unjury brand (strawberry sorbet in lemonadeis also tasty) but can usually tolerate premiere van or choc.also.
