  1. Syntrax nectar is far superior to these. GENEPRO unflavored, as well. However, Not sure if you can buy these locally. I had to purchase online.
  2. You already know my favorite! Cookies and Cream!! Yummo!!! I don't want to stock up with too much, but I may have to buy the fuzzy navel one, That just sounds awesome.
  3. Congratulations!! I am soo jealous!! You'll be on the losers bench, and I won't even have met my surgeon yet! MAN!! WAY TO GO GIRL!!!
  4. The website is best. Just a tip though, the unflavored isn't unflavored at all. Try GENEPRO unflavored. I've told so many people about it, there will probably be a shortage! lol
  5. I totally missed the boat with @mention with your screen name @@GreenEyes604
  6. I may have to hide this Protein canister away from my husband. I can bet he will love this one as much as me, and he ins't having the surgery!
  7. @GreenEye At least you can be pretty confident you wont be getting blood clots! From the posters above it seems the needles are super tiny, and they go just beneath the skin, not into the muscle, so I don't think it will be such a big deal.
  8. GENEPRO unflavored mixed in ANYTHING. It is truly flavorless!! I bought it on Amazon
  9. Hi Amy! Best of luck to you, I'm sure you'll do great. You have done lots of research, like most of us. Not real sure what those posts are above mine are about. Maybe I'm just too old to comprehend them. Anywho......keep those of us waiting in the wings posted on your adventure!
  10. @@His Fairest Welcome! You will get lots of info here, and lots of support. Feel free to reach out. I have not had the surgery yet, but I have made some good friends on this site, and learned so much.
  11. FYI-this is even awesome without the cocoa!!
  12. So, I have not had too much luck finding a Protein that doesn't have a nasty aftertaste. I've told you about GENEPRO unflavored that is truly unflavored and can go into everything....but THIS I discovered today, and I have to share. 8 oz skim milk (8gm protein) 1 full scoop of Syntrax Cookies and creme protein (23 gms protein) 1 spoonful of Hershey unsweetened cocoa powder handful of ice cubes mix in your vitamixer or magic bullet. OMG!! DESSERT!!!!!!! no aftertaste, no protein taste at all! Just tastes like a chocolate milkshake, only BETTER!
  13. That statistic sounds really super high to me. What surgery are you having?
  14. @@realrawuncutsleeve check back in after appt and let us all know how it went, and what we can expect. Have a great day!
  15. I knew last spring I wanted the sleeve surgery, so I promptly quit smoking (cold turkey, I might add), attended a free seminar, told my PCP, and started the 6 months of supervised Dr weigh ins (that's all it truly is anyway). Scheduled and completed a sleep study, and got my cpap machine. Got my 5 years of weight history from my OBGYN, Got my documentation together of all the failed diets I've ever been on (thanks to my 85 year old MOM who journals everything I tell her) Printed off my bank statements showing I paid for YMCA, Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem in the past 2 years. Now I wait for January 2nd where I will call my new insurance co, enroll in the bariatric program, and call the surgeon for an appt. I understand he will then schedule my EGD, pshych eval, and NUT visit. Luckily I had friends at work who went through this, and told me what I would need to do. I hope that I am prepared enough to get this done in January or February!! Cross your fingers and toes!
  16. I'm almost certain it is standard procedure at the center I will be using...from what my friends have told me.
  17. Ok. No longer worried about this. So many other things to worry about. lol Thanks ladies!
  18. So, I'm curious. How hard is it to inject yourself? Did you have someone else inject you or did you bite the bullet and inject yourself?
  19. Blend the squash and hide it in something he likes to eat! Thats how I get my husband to eat it. I blend it and put it in spaghetti sauce.
  20. Congratulations, @@queenvh4! You are an inspiration!
  21. Your posts sound a little like you are bouncing off the walls! lol I can imagine I will be just as excited as you are today. If you order the GENEPRO from Amazon, I got it delivered in 3 days. I was shocked that it really and truly has no taste. I tried the unjury unflavored in my oatmeal, and had to throw it away. It had a horrible after taste. I even tried holding my nose to eat it, and nope, couldn't do it. I'll be following you to see what kind of Vitamins are suggested, as I haven't looked into those yet. I may just purchase them from my surgeons office. Take care, and try to calm down! HA!!
  22. @@VSGAnn2014 This is true.... what you said above. Only a percentage, and an accountant could tell you for sure.
