  2. Luck! Luck! Luck! Luck! Luck! Luck! Luck!!!! (but you wont need it) This sugery is a life "saver". Looking forward to hearing from you when you're on the other side. Oh and keep your umbrella handy, I hear there is "rain" in the forecast.
  3. Hello!! what insurance do you have? Let us all know how it goes!
  4. I was just there today!!! I'm on vacation...I'm sure I'll be there again soon. And I'm picking up some of this cuteness!
  5. That's it. I need to go shopping. Very cute! I want them!!
  6. Bob, You've got this! Spend some quality time with your folks. You'll be fine. Last Supper??!! It is NOT your last supper. You will have many more suppers. They just may be a bit smaller. I'm sure many people will start sending you encouragement as the night goes on. Just breathe!!! Your wife will be there for you. Be sure to let us know how you're doing going forward. Take care and Happy Holidays!
  7. Syntrax nectar Cookies and cream, with a cup of skim milk, a table spoon of Hersheys unsweetened cocoa powder and some ice cubes. & blend. YUMMMMO!!!! I tell everyone about it. One of these days there'll be a shortage! HA!
  8. @@Tiffany2015 that is quite an eye opener isn't it!! I hadn't heard that, but it really puts it into perspective. I enroll in my insurance companies bariatric program on January 2nd, so I'll schedule surgeons appointment and from what I understand the COE will schedule all my other required appointments. I did my 6 months of dr supervised diet already, I did my sleep study already.....so now it's just a matter of time. I'm excited to get started and stop waiting around! Anything you can share for folks like me who aren't as far along.....is certainly welcome!
  9. Genepro unflavored!!
  10. Welcome @@laurenelizabeth Please keep us posted with your progress. I see you're very new here. Feel free to reach out to these very knowledgeable and helpful folks here. I am still waiting in the wings. Looks like you will have a Happy Holiday!!
  11. Calling the insurance co is at the top of my list for January 2, 2015!! (That's when it goes into effect!)
  12. I'm hoping for 2 weeks. But I'm new here. Haven't even been approved yet. But I'm hopeful.
  13. I am hoping to begin the approval process January 2nd. I'm wondering if the surgeons won't be backed up at the start of the year, like they are at the end of the year. I saved up my OOP for this specific reason, hoping to get this done this winter. What do you think? Think the Bariatric hospitals will have a little more space at the start of the year than they do at the end of the year?
  14. Welcome, welcome! I am still going through the process. I was lucky and found this site when I first began considering wls. So I have made a few friends along the way. Found out some really great information, and had a few laughs, (which we all need some days). Don't be shy, reach out, and read everything. There are some very good people here. Happy Holidays!
  15. @@Flygirl123 Thank you, I sure hope so! I have to lose, but only a couple of pounds, so I don't drop below BMI 40 before I meet with the surgeon and try to qualify for this life saving and life changing surgery. I can lose weight. I know how. I just can't ever keep it off. I've lost the same 100 pounds probably 20 times in my lifetime. Only to gain it back over and over. I want off this roller coaster ride! All the best to you! Happy Holidays!
  16. Something else I've noticed when I've been out shopping, are the folks buying Protein shakes, and mushy stuff. I think in my head....."that person has had wls!" And then I'm jealous because I haven't yet. I'll be at Sams Club with the hubs and observe what is in other people's baskets (Water bottles, Fage 0 calorie yogurt in bulk, egg beaters, apple sauce, sugar free popsicles and premier protein) and whisper to him...."I bet that person had wls....look how healthy he/she looks!" I don't know if they did or didn't, but I think it whenever I see something like that.
  17. Update, after suffering on grilled chicken breasts and green Beans for a week, I lost 6 pounds. I think next weigh in will be more "appropriate" lol. I pledge to stop grazing! It was the dang grazing that shot my stupid weight up! Good Grief!!
  18. Great news! Congrats!!
  19. Today I had the worst day ever, but this was the best laugh I've had in a long time. I actually laughed till I cried! Don't apologize. I hope my meds are 1/2 as good as yours. So glad you're ok.
  20. OMG! what kind of meds did they give this gal? lmao!!!
  21. Omg. Had my last appt with pcp and I GAINED! I had to schedule another appt for end of the month. Living on chicken and green beans till rhe 29th. Gotta show a small loss. I just can't be denied because I had food funerals during my 6 month pcp visits! That will devastate me!! Prayers for a small loss. 5 pounds would be ok. Or 10.
  22. I will have UHC PPO as of Jan 1, so I started the 6 month Dr supervised diet 6 months ago. Today was my last weigh in. I gained. Dang it! I scheduled another appt for the end of the month, and I will be eating chicken and green Beans twice a day to lose what I gained, so I can show a loss. Anyone know if UHC would deny me if I failed to lose in those 6 months? I'm in Kansas.
  23. OMG OMG OMG!!! I am soooo excited for you!!!
  24. I got the sample pack from unjury, and I only liked the strawberry sorbet. Trust what everyone says about GENEPRO. I know I seem like I'm stalking you, and you probably think I work for Genepro, but I don't. But, you can't taste it at all. Honest!
  25. you won't be sorry with the Genepro
