Sleeved in Kansas in April....yes to the drain. But it was yanked out prior to discharge the next day. No big deal, really.

I think I'd rather just do what my nutritionist suggested, and do some re-set days or to the 5/2 way of eating if it ever comes to that for me. Right now, that helps with stalls, so I imagine it would help with regain. Drugs scare me. Especially the weight loss ones. Does anyone remember Ephedra and Phen/fen?

Mine only had to show a loss. I lost 2 pounds. My BMI did not change. You need to "manage" this for your own benefit. The hoops they make you go through are sometimes ridiculous, and you need to play the game..."smartly". (is that a word?)

@@Elode YIKES! That has got to be agony. I'm so sorry you are going through this. That photo makes me hurt for you.

@@Kindle I'm still following you. Can't wait to be rid of my gallbladder and stop being snacky! I also have no ball in this game of regain, as I am still in the losing phase, even though it is slowed down to a snails pace. My calories stay around 600-700, with an occasional 1000 day here and there (being more careful to stop those occasional days). If a rx to help the jump start is needed....I'd totally go for it. So far the resets have been effective for my stalls.

I had my very first gallbladder attack 2 weeks ago. It was agony. It has to come out. For now I am just not eating raw veggies or anything fried or any fats. Limiting cheese as well. Galbladders are nothing to fool with. Dangerous beasts, those gallbladders!

Keep us in the loop.

yep...right side is generally gallbladder. Don't let it go. Tell your Dr, go get an ultrasound to make sure. You don't want to play around with the gallbladder. Get that bad boy removed if its giving your trouble.
-
Most people are hungry at first. Trust me. But it does go away. Even tho you are hungry, it takes very little to satisfy the hunger.
-
At first you're going to be starving, or at least you will be HANGRY. But it goes away. Grazing is a real thing too.....don't do it, or you will stall your weight loss.
-
my gallbladder won't let me eat salads, oh how I miss them so!!
-
Dr Hoehn is amazing! I plan to have him do my gallbladder surgery sometime soon. As long as you follow the rules, you will lose. And the stalls happen...don't sweat them!
-
Pick your battles. And my favorite of all.....don't sweat the small stuff. Words to live by.

I knew I wanted the best outcome after surgery, and I knew I wanted to be healthy and live a long time, so I quit one year prior to my surgery. Cold turkey. I read a book by Allen Carr "The easy way to quit smoking", smoked while I read it, and then when I was done with the book, I threw away any cigarettes that had not yet been smoked. I have not had one since. Its all about wanting to quit. The surgery and weightloss and good health meant more to me than cigarettes and cancer.

@@Kindle I only had one really large varicose vein that was surgically removed first, before he began all the sclero therapy. Basically he and his phlebotomist assistant shoot me with needles from syringes that are full of some sort of detergent that BURNS!. So, imagine being stung by wasps over and over for an hour and a half, and not be able to run away and hide. Instead, you squeeze stress balls and turn your body so they can sting you all over. But, it only lasts as long as they are sticking me. Once they are done, I have no pain. Just the annoyance of the compression hose up to my thigh for 7 days, no bathing for 3 days, etc. Fun times!
-
My doc bills the sclero in such a way that it is covered. I have no idea how, and I'm not about to question it. I hate the sclero big time. Dang it hurts. No lidocaine when you're getting sclero. At least not with my Doc.
-
I begin my next round of sclerotherapy next week....so 6 more sessions were approved!! Of course January is around the corner, but the way the office bills, they bill it all upfront, so I don't think I will owe anything. Gotta save that for the gallbladder surgery I'll be having....it's always something.
