Thank you for the information.Hello- Summa has a support group in Akron. I think they meet on the last Wednesday of each month. I am in the Akron area too. Where did you have your surgery? I totally agree! !!!@deedadumble. I think this subject comes up because people who choose to tell others about their decision to have WLS appear to be judging those who chose not to tell.

@@TEXASLADY52 some people do have physical limitations that do not allow them to exercise like they want so dont beat yourself up for it. .just do what you can. Be careful with your starches. .like oatmeal and potatoes. Rely on reading nutritional labels to calculate carb grams especially if you have diabetes. Those programs like fitness pal are great but sometimes you just have to do good old math and read labels..too much hidden sugar will raise glucose levels and impede wt loss. Just a suggestion try eating more lean Proteins less read meats..get your complex carbs from veggies and fruit. Breakfast fill up on Protein like egg, turkey sausage, greek yogurt. Cottage cheese, etc. And plenty of Water in between. Just some suggestions that helps me and my patients

Dr. Khaitan at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. .she and her staff are awesome.

You look fantastic!!!

#anywhoareyoubutaskilledtrainedsurgeon.calmdownUmmmmm....can we just talk about the fact that everything she said is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!?!? As someone who HAS done my research and has lived in the WLS world for quite some time now, she's correct. Half of lapbands ARE in fact removed, and the long term success rates of lapband are much less than that of gastric sleeve or RNY. Everyone is so freaking quick to get insulted these days and I wish you would just stop it already. She spoke her opinion, which by the way was riddled with fact after fact, and you guys all get your panties in a wad? Grow UP already.

Hi
Your MD should give ur surgery date after ur insurance approval.
I stared my 2wk preop diet immediately when the Dr office called me told me my insurance approved my surgery and they scheduled a follow-up appt with the surgeon to schedule pre op testing.
Hope that helps..but each situation is different. I had my surgery at UH

I have to commend you for being honest about your feelings. We are not perfect and yes this wls can sometimes change our behavoirs and mindset (not everyone) I personally and no I am not a licensed therapist but only a nurse , feel it could be insecurity on your part not being confidence like your partner voiced. For example a confident person is self assured and tend to want the same success for others but not in a negative way. Jtickle.. like so many of us we have flaws that we need to work on and guess what the good thing about you ...you recognize it !!! Unlike some afraid to admit it. So judging others mentally sometimes is a way we judge ourselves subconsciously. Thats how you viewed yourself or someone else viewd you or still do . Take careI never said I was mean to those girls, I said I had thought of it. I posted this to get some support not to be told to quit being mean. I have kept the majority of my meanness inside me and I have patched things up with my best friend, but I refuse to with my brothers. They deserved what they got. I have severe bipolar disorder type 1. So just changing my attitude isn't that easy. So humble yourself and quit telling people not to be mean before you know the whole story.

I think an individual should speak for themselves and not label an entire group. Maybe you feel that way about yourself or you feel there is nothing wrong with being called "fatty" then your entitled. What you do not know about the other possible millions of others who struggles with obesity that may not be related to being a couch potato or eating an entire pizza. Some could have physical disabilities or chronic conditions that have limited them from losing weight. Sometimes it is best to think before we post.
