  7. Congratulations@@NicoleSW and@@nbw1220 on your approval...best decision ever
  8. @@TEXASLADY52 some people do have physical limitations that do not allow them to exercise like they want so dont beat yourself up for it. .just do what you can. Be careful with your starches. .like oatmeal and potatoes. Rely on reading nutritional labels to calculate carb grams especially if you have diabetes. Those programs like fitness pal are great but sometimes you just have to do good old math and read labels..too much hidden sugar will raise glucose levels and impede wt loss. Just a suggestion try eating more lean proteins less read meats..get your complex carbs from veggies and fruit. Breakfast fill up on protein like egg, turkey sausage, greek yogurt. Cottage cheese, etc. And plenty of water in between. Just some suggestions that helps me and my patients
  9. Dr. Khaitan at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. .she and her staff are awesome.
  10. Anyone from Akron/Canton area or know of any Wls Support groups in tha area? Thanks
  11. Hi Your MD should give ur surgery date after ur insurance approval. I stared my 2wk preop diet immediately when the Dr office called me told me my insurance approved my surgery and they scheduled a follow-up appt with the surgeon to schedule pre op testing. Hope that helps..but each situation is different. I had my surgery at UH
  12. @@SammyRN congratulations on your weught loss. Yes, I agree Dr. Khaitan and the staff are great. I had my surgery (gastric sleeve) April 29th down 50 lbs. I am glad I picked a great surgeon.
  13. I am from akron/ canton area and had my wls in Cleveland.
  14. I have to commend you for being honest about your feelings. We are not perfect and yes this wls can sometimes change our behavoirs and mindset (not everyone) I personally and no I am not a licensed therapist but only a nurse , feel it could be insecurity on your part not being confidence like your partner voiced. For example a confident person is self assured and tend to want the same success for others but not in a negative way. Jtickle.. like so many of us we have flaws that we need to work on and guess what the good thing about you ...you recognize it !!! Unlike some afraid to admit it. So judging others mentally sometimes is a way we judge ourselves subconsciously. Thats how you viewed yourself or someone else viewd you or still do . Take care
  15. No more plus sizes and I can cross my legs and keep them cross without cutting off my circulation. .LOL
  16. I was sleeved on April 29th Total weight loss: 50lbs Down 4 dress sizes No more plus sizes! Challenges: getting in exercise Congratulations to everyone
  17. 208 lbs. Had a 2wk stall 2lbs short of reaching goal but happy to have participated in this challenge, it motivated me to exercise more.
  18. What a wonderful feeling to be comfortably riding in the plane and to enjoy ur fab vacation with ur new body..congratulations. I am giddy that for the first time in yearssss...I can now cross my legs comfortably. 2 months after wls
  19. I think an individual should speak for themselves and not label an entire group. Maybe you feel that way about yourself or you feel there is nothing wrong with being called "fatty" then your entitled. What you do not know about the other possible millions of others who struggles with obesity that may not be related to being a couch potato or eating an entire pizza. Some could have physical disabilities or chronic conditions that have limited them from losing weight. Sometimes it is best to think before we post.
